The British goverment is currently developing an upgrade for the Warrior IFV, many APC operaters in PR were disappointed with the ROF nerf on the current version of the Warrior due to realism reasons.
This upgrade could increase the Warrior's rate of fire again but would need some modeling work as the vehicle will have a new turret. They will be upgrading the 30mm controlled fire autocannon to a 40mm autocannon with a rate of fire of about 200 round a minute.

Yeah i'm sure they're aware but probably don't have the man power to do it.
Also there's the fact that this upgrade isn't in service yet.

Re: Warrior upgrade
that article appears to be two years old, I get the feeling the upgrade problem is encountering problems?

Re: Warrior upgrade
Its something we talked about but it would really need tweaks to the model and it isn't in service yet, and knowing how budget cuts go around here, will probably never be so we are sticking with our current one.

Re: Warrior upgrade
Why not add Desert Warrior for e.g Burning Sands to even out the BMP-2 and BMP-3 on MEC side? The Desert Warrior has 30 mm autocannon and ATGM-launchers.

Looks like Bradley, kind ofDesert Warrior. This was an export version adapted for operations in hostile desert conditions. It was fitted with the Delco turret as used on the LAV-25 wheeled IFV, mounting a stabilised M242 Bushmaster 25 mm chain gun with coaxial 7.62 mm chain gun and 2 x Hughes TOW ATGM launchers (one mounted on each side).

Re: Warrior upgrade
What about a Milan version? For balance against the BMP-2 / BMP-3 it faces. Don't know about operational accuracy though. Were they all replaced by dismount Javelin teams?
Since the Milan is already modeled ingame it should be an easy conversion, right?

Re: Warrior upgrade
Would require new model. Just strapping the current Milan onto it would look stupid.'Xander[nl wrote:;2053859']What about a Milan version? For balance against the BMP-2 / BMP-3 it faces. Don't know about operational accuracy though. Were they all replaced by dismount Javelin teams?

There are minor changes coming for the Warrior and Scimitar such as increased accuracy. More changes just to make it be able to fight BMP-3 wont be introduced.

Re: Warrior upgrade
The MILAN went out of service in the British Army a long time ago and was not common practice to have it mounted on a warrior when it was in service afaik, think some did it as a one off or just as a test to see how effective it was but nowadays ATGM Infantry just sit in the back with a Javelin missile, and either get out to deploy it, or in some cases, open the rear top hatch out of the back above the passenger cab and fire it out of that.'Xander[nl wrote:;2053859']What about a Milan version?
