taliban actually have a great many languages amongst their ranks, but Pashtun would be an appropriate choice ofcCareless wrote:That would be a good idea, Taliban is indeed Pashtun

I'm born here but I can speak a bit of arabic[R-DEV]-=anders=- wrote:Good guys!
And Arab, I always get confused by your name? What languages do you speak?
Yeah, just send me samples.
I could do other voices if anyone could send me a script with the english meaning and the language.
I want to have a crack at other languages. Heck, if anyone could send me translation of Pashtun, I can do research on the accent of the taliban, and practice it.
I got a studio mic, so it's only a matter of setting it up. My arabic is at best more fluent than a tourist's knowledge, but I'm not fluent.
So use Audacity for audio? I remember there was a link to how to record. I'll check the first page.

This is a great idea considering that the Van Doos and the 12e R?giment blind? du Canada were such a huge part of our over seas deployment in Afghanistan, but it might not be possible to mix both the English and French voice overs on the same team in Project Reality and make it sound coherent.zombie-yellow wrote:Since we're on topic with French voices, what about the French Canadian voices we discussed a (whole) bunch of pages ago ? I would love to try and make them because I can't work on French voices because of my Quebec accent
But I don't remember if this idea was refused or accepted...

For Ramiel I believe it's based on Mogadishu, so Somali would be appropriate, but a great many people there also speak arabic.
Depending on the nation/region in Africa, they could speak speak a great deal of different languages including french and english, although they probably have some different accents for those languages- it would be cool if some of our anglophones/francophones did some new voices
