Hey guys, I was gonna use the rhino thread instead but the advice is 2 years old regarding GFX cards so opened up this.
Basically its time for me to upgrade my card, im still running a GTX 570.
The rest of my system is pretty solid as far as im aware. Specs below.
Processor (CPU) Intel? Core?i7-2600 Quad Core (3.40GHz, 8MB Cache) + HD Graphics
Motherboard ASUS? P8Z68-V: USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs, NVIDIA?SLI?, ATI?CrossFireX
Memory (RAM) 8GB SAMSUNG DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 4GB)
Power Supply CORSAIR 650W ENTHUSIAST SERIES? TX650 V2-80 PLUS? BRONZE
My max price range is ?250 ish, but would obviously prefer to spend less if its possible. Im more a fan of future proofing it and using the same graphics card for the next 4 years same way ive done with this one though.
Any help is massively appreciated im a bit of a dumbo when it comes to computer stuff.
EDIT: Nvm I read past page 5 on Rhinos thread....

Re: Graphics Card upgrade
Yeah, your system is still solid,
the GTX 960, GTX 770, and the AMD R9 280X and r9 290 should be in your price range if you can find a decent sale.
A slight stretch of the budget will get you to the GTX 970, the performance gains are real because the GTX 960 is comparatively overpriced right now from a price/performance standpoint. might find it on sale at at exactly the 250 UKP price though.

Awesome yeah im definitely gonna go for the 970, looks well suited for what I need.
I was having a bit of trouble deciding between MSI, EVGA, G1 and that but think im gonna go for the MSI, seems most applicable to me. G1 looks a bit big and loud.
