Increase T-62 reverse speed

Post by Navo »

Not a game breaking issue but right now the T-62 reverses literally at a crawling pace. Doesn't make any sense. It's faster to turn the tank around if you need a reverse a distance longer than 5 meters.

It's not that fast, but it sure is faster than what it is in PR now.

Here a different video for example.

Noddy - vid removed and user given infraction.... please choose forum appropriate examples to make a point in future.

Jesus provide a messed up video next time why don't you?

But i agree, everything on the t62 is slow but the reverse speed takes the cake.

Most tanks move slower backwards than forward.

It's supposed to be faster to turn tank if you want to reverse for longer distance; you just need to consider the consequences of turning tank around(which there isn't much of; because HAT one-shot your tank from any direction).

Comrade have you used the t62? I know tanks are meant to be quite cumbersome but it's reverse speed is excessively slow.

T-62 has 1 reverse gear vs. 5 forward, 7km/h reverse speed; which is less than half a meter per second.

Yeah, it's supposed to be that slow. World of Tanks isn't realistic.

It seems i stand corrected. If it really is that slow irl then leave it how it is.

Yes I did my research after I suggested this (because I'm fucking stupid) and it turns out I was wrong :D

I think the firing speed can be increased though:

Smooth. You should also post that 50.cal techie to the face execution from ISIS when referring to the 50s muzzle velocity compared to 14.5mm in your BTR thread

Didn't mean it like that, it was just the first video from youtube searching it and the video was filmed pretty far away. But yeah, there's another example video now.

I noticed once what T-62 can climb on the hills on reverse faster than any other tank, it did it like it rides on flat ground
