New Cd Key Hash

Hello,

I am looking at setting up a friend to play with me on my separate laptop. I tried to install the game on both my computers with the Steam Battlefield 2 install but I was unable to play on the same server due to the CD-Keys being the same.

To my understanding, PR has a CD Key Hash assigned to your computer. If I buy the amazon digital version (Amazon.com: Battlefield 2 Complete Collection [Download]: Video Games) and install it on my laptop, will the CD Key Hash be reset so I can play on the same server?

If the current Steam CDKey is legit, you can simply uninstall Steam BF2, (then REBOOT!!), then install origin BF2, there won't be any problems.
