Patch 1.41 - Cant find Install Folder

Just recieved a physical copy of BF2 from Amazon and I installed it to my laptop and now when I'm trying to update my game it gets to the setup wizard and then says "Can't find Install Folder" and it closes.

You might have a very old physical CD version?
If the game version on your CD and you have installed now is prior to 1.21, you'll need to run 1.21 first.

If you can't find the version number on the CD or packaging, you can:
Start vanilla BF2, create aoffline account, and look for the version number in the corner of the main menu,

Alternatively, if you have EA Origin installed, you might be able to add your CDKey to Origin and auto download an up to date version of BF2.

is the location of the missing info.

I can't tell you exactly what you would need to add unless you tell me the install directory of your BF2,

I had same problem,i found mine in programs x64, steam apps ,mods
