The issue with Charlies Point is the ZSU-2 57. If I can get onto the beach with it I can overlook the US main and destroy the choppers as they lift off the pads. Server rules don't allow for this so I allow them a few moments to gain forward momentum and get out of the main before I set then ablaze.
If you camp the BTR in the same area it is less effective but offers the same resistance to US forces. Boats are a joke and mostly just give their position away with the .50 cals. This map is a nightmare for US and very easy for the NVA. NVA have time to setup a few fobs near the AA emplacements and the first flag and the US are usually just landing their first wave of troops on the peripherals of the map.
I have seen US win, but it only happens when the transport pilots have enough balls to drop the first wave on the flag. If the NVA are given any time to setup it's an extremely lopsided battle.

ZSU-2 57 was balanced out for v1.3 so that one should no long become a major issue. Time will tell
