Playing Point of Existence 2 with TG, there was some discussion of a new minimod that was shaking things up a little.
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

I literally searched "best bf2 mods" and found this gem. Whoever made the post spoke truth.

I was a dedicated member of the TTW community made gamemode of Soldat (in its late years) when I first heard about PR. I was looking for tactical shooters and that's when one of the modders told me about PR.

Found it by playing BF2 ( vanilla ) on a German server called RULEZ (RIP), and I saw they had a server running PR mod, so I gave it a go. And never turned back. Used to play a lot on Russian vanilla servers of DIESELcommunity before that.

Perhaps the world is not made, perhaps nothing is made, a watch, without a watchmaker.

Re: How did you find PR
Foolslappa introduced me to PR in about 2008.
We were playing another Battlefield game, and I said something like "I really wish there were maps that were absolutely huge", and he said something like "you should try Project Reality...".
I remember joining a server with him, downing a Littlebird with a jeep-mounted .50 cal, and not thinking much of it ...till he told me that in PR that's supposed to be very hard, at which point I felt like Mr big-swinging-****.
Back then I lived in central London. It was so nice to join a PR sever running a forest or jungle map. I was totally like "aaaahhhhh, trees!
"
These days I consider a successful round to be one in which at least one person either made me laugh, or was made to laugh by me. I think if I cared about K/D, the police would long ago have been called to my apartment to pull my corpse from the bath.

Re: How did you find PR
I found it trough people bickering in youtube comments about which is best of PR and ARMA.
My thoughts went something like: "hey if people get this mad, it's probably pretty good".

[R-DEV]Ninja2dan: Not having a spotter is like masturbating with a cheese grater...mildly amusing at first, but generally painful and bloody in the end.
Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

Just make a donation to PR, even as small as $10.00 if you don't have much to spare, supporting members don't see any ads on the forums.Ironcomatose wrote:I know this is OT but.....OMG THERE IS AN AD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE!! I hate those damn things they kill the look of the forums. Damn and i thought this site would be different **sobs**

Re: How did you find PR
P'tty much same, not sure if I was tired of BF2, however, but somehow or another I happened to stumble on ModDB and I think Forgotten Hope was the first mod I found that seemed interesting, thought FH2 was "very neat", so kept looking at what other mods might be interesting, and from there again stumbled upon PR.swiftdraw wrote:I saw it on Games and mods development for Windows, Linux and Mac - Mod DB after I got tired of VBF2 and was looking for something new.
Best find ever!
