1312: Error verifying the integrity of the following files.

Post by Rapid12 »

Upon right clicking play button and selecting update, I receive this message.....
1312: Error verifying the integrity of the following files:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\content\objects_weapons_client.zip

This may be caused by unauthorized file modifications, hard drive corruption, or a file permissions errors.

To fix this issue, please reinstall the latest available version of Project Reality:BF2

So you know, I've not played for a very long time, but I have played since it went v1 and having its own installer.

As for the message, I'm not computer literate and wouldn't know where to start reinstalling the latest version.

If it's a simple fix please let me know, as I've missed PR.

Regards, Rapid12.

objects_weapons_client.zip is a 662MB file.

I can't upload my copy, it'll take longer than if you just redownload PR.

BUT, how did you download PR? If you used a torrent, and still have the torrent file on your PC, verify the hashes to make sure your download isn't corrupt. If it passes a hash integrity check, uninstall PR, reboot, then reinstall using the torrent download.

If you used Desura, use the verify files options to see if you can just download objects_weapons_client.zip directly from desura.

There's an ISO file on my drive called prbf2_1.0.29.0_full it's a huge 6,325,552 KB in size and it has the Demon Tools logo. Is that all I need?

Yes you can use your prbf2_1.0.29.0_full.iso to reinstall PR, with the following manual updates requires before you can use the automatic updater...

3. Choosing the right download patches for your system

VERY IMPORTANT: IF YOU MANUALLY INSTALL PATCHES OUT OF NUMERICAL ORDER YOU WILL HAVE TO REINSTALL PR. It is always advised to download the patches to your Update DL Path then start PRLauncher and select the "Check for Updates" option in the Play submenu.

Question 1. What version of PR do you have installed?
1.0.29.0
or
1.1.0.0
or
something above 1.1.0.0

please download the appropriate patches to your Update DL Path directory and run them in order.

IF you have 1.0.29.0

Then download this:
http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

Code: Select all

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.0.29.0_to_1.1.0.0_client_patch.prpatch
It will update you to 1.1.0.0 and continue with the guide:

If you have 1.1.0.0 or newer,

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

Code: Select all

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.0.0_to_1.1.1.0_client_patch.prpatch
http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

Code: Select all

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.1.0_to_1.1.4.0_client_patch.prpatch
http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prb ... ch.prpatch

Code: Select all

http://files.ancientdev.com/updates/prbf2_1.1.4.0_to_1.1.6.0_client_patch.prpatch
Once you're updated to 1.1.6.0 you can use the automatic updater in PRLauncher to get to 1.2.0.0

I also have to deal with 1312 error now :( It was everything good since PR crashed to the desktop, and for now I have this:
Image

What is interesting, I wasn't even on Yamalia map when I had PR crash, and not loading it, but nevermind..
I have looked into the files and it seems they are fine - there is a client.zip archive which weight 36,1 MB and modification date is as in the other files.

The question is if someone can share this file ?
To be honest, I don't have good feelings about what might happened and if changing this file will solve the problem, but I do have a hope :)
Cheers, and Merry Christmas

EDIT: Refreshing this thread... Because it seems no one reads that ;p
Or should I open new thread?

Thank You very much [R-COM]LITOralis.nMd. This file client.zip for yamalia is working!
But after that I also had other errors such like those:
Image
and one with access denied for file /python/bf2/__init__.py and after that other critical error ;p
I decided to add whole BF2 folder into the Safe Zone in AVAST antivirus. Then the game has launched and it says that my shortcuts are wrong.
In the next step I have unchecked ,,Read only,, option for BF2 directory.
Now it is working as it suppose to.
