For the brittish propaganda, Argentina was the evil and dark third-world country from the south of the planet who hates freedom and democracy and need to take everything to him. It?s a logical thing thinking that of your enemy, mostly if we are talking about propaganda.

And by the way, the subtitles of the video are awful.

Under a military dictatorship who were advised by Nazis who emigrated after the end of world war 2, with torture squads killing innocent people, among other horrible things. Not sure if it was all propaganda actually...

Oh and then there is taking hostage innocent civilians in the Falklands and their lands too...

To clarify, modern day Argentina is a long way away from 1982 Argentina, and I wish people would make that distinction and move on. There is so much modern day propaganda about the islands, and I know many Argentines who are fed up with it as much as everyone else.

What?

It?s true, like the british did in many parts of the world, maybe they learn something from them.
Oh and then there is taking hostage innocent civilians in the Falklands and their lands too...
The argentinian forces where extremely careful and respectful in the treat with civilians. For giving an example: An argentinian Captain in Darwin put all the civilians in a church and painted a red cross on it. So they cannot bother and be safe. An argentinian General come and see that and reproach him what the hell was doing with the kelpers (He was more worried of the kelpers than that his own troops), he send them to their houses, where they have contact with british by radio and they inform them of arg troops positions, mine fields, moves etc. What I mean? They don?t bother the kelpers even when that bring unfavorable consequences to them.

They should have taked all the civilians and put them in an medical ship, and with that ship escort the ARA Belgrano, or our carrier, so the british cannot attack them. Like they did putting medical ship in the middle of the San Carlos bay landing on May 21.

For last but not least, how many kelpers die in the war? Oh yes! 3! And who kill them? The english!! I almost forget about that.

For not to mention that british give a fuck about kelpers until the war.

Using hostages to disuade the enemy from attacking is in violation of the Geneva convention if I can recall correctly, so if Argentina did that it would have to deal with more than just the Brits.

Also this conflict ended over 30 years ago, stop arguing, and be happy that you can play this thing. What is done is done, you can't change the past and arguing about it isn't going to change that either, if you have to vent your frustration about history do it somewhere else. And please don't give any supposed facts about a country, event, or anything else for that matter, especially if you have the intention of getting a reaction.

From everything I've seen from your guys' updates I'm super excited to see how the eventual release turns out! I expect it will be a lot more fun on the ground now that you have extra AA weapons and the destroyers. Should be for some excellent combat scenarios when a ship pulls up along the shore and starts shelling a well defended FOB :D

Can't wait for the naval action/support. But it seems like shooting down aircraft will be a pain in the ***, like shooting a HAT kit at a fast moving vehicle...

Somewhat yes, with the biggest difference being that you don't have to hit the target directly to do damage (although doing so damages the aircraft very badly), and instead just need to get the missile close to it, for its proximity detonator to kick in and blow the **** out of the jet near by :D

Can the blowpipe be used against ground targets as well?

Yes but its like a really bad Light Anti-Tank weapon, wont do that much damage to anything with any amount of armour as the Mujahideen found out when they used them against Soviet armoured vehicles, but they did have more success against ground vehicles than it than they did against air vehicles since they received pretty much no training in how to use them :p

Wasn't there somebody working on it? Did that guy not share his files before quitting it?

Model needed a lot of work and was made in the wrong version of max so wasn't really worth salvaging either.

Unless someone from the community takes on the task again and is really committed to it etc, its unlikely that we are going to see it unfortunately :(

I'm hoping however we might be able to find a place holder for it for the next release however since the Argies really do need something to help bolster their forces on the ground :)

If I had actual dedication to this mod and wasn't distracted every 2 minutes. And would actually learn how to do things related to the mod, and finally finished those map concepts I have in my head. I would do it.

But till I lose those traits I think PR will have vanished or almost deserted.

I have been talking about the AML-90 with Rhino, when and if I get the Dutch DAF truck done I will try modeling this vehicle. But like I said before, I will finish the truck first before I start on this project.
