How to turn off suppression effects and blood screen?

Post by SANGUE-RUIM »

I believe this is the most appropriate section to ask this...

I'd like to turn off completely the suppression effects (bullets, explosiosn, etc) and the losing blood screen (also black and white when you are less than 10% healthy)

what are the files and lines that I need to change?

here's what I am talking about:

in 0:53 he gets hurt by enemy shotgun which is to his right, and goes less than 10% of health (heavy breathing, almost dead), but his screen is normal

after getting shot by the same enemy for the 2nd time, he dies

also, in 0:16 the suppression effect doesn't affect him

ofc this is for offline and LAN purposes

Thank you!

You can do that on a local server only.
Type 'renderer.drawhud 0' in console to get rid off the HUD.

Somewhat on the opposite side of this question, is there any way to make the blood effects come back. They used to work on my laptop that was amd but now my PC is running a gtx770 and it doesn't work.

I believe it's a bug with NVIDIA cards.

The black and white effect does not work on some graphics cards when anti aliasing is enabled in bf2 settings. You might be able to make it work by turning AA off in the game settings and forcing it through drivers.
