Any tips on how to aim?
I have been playing this Mod since it came out, but the one thing I suck at is killing anyone LOL. I'm not sure if that's down to the fact I use a 42" TV or if I just suck. I can have my target right on someone and I will still miss, but I'm not sure why. Can anyone give me any tips on where I should aim ect. Do I still have to pause for a while before shooting ect. Thanks!

First of all you want to make sure that you understand deviation, which basically means you have to wait 6 seconds after a sprint that was longer than 6 seconds in order to gain full accuracy, not to mention your stance and the impact your stance has on your accuracy. So make sure you won't go spray and pray 1 second after sprinting when the target you acquired is beyond 50 meters.
Second of all you might want to tweak your tactics so you won't run into enemies constantly but make them run into you, allowing you to hit them with settled deviation and the enemy having bad accuracy.

Shoot them first, even if you dont hit them. They will run to cover and try to look at you, now you can be accurate.
Au dela du possible ...

No, but moving or changing your point of aim quickly will make it inaccurate for several seconds.

With the sniper, you typically want to wait around 3 to 4 seconds after major movement before firing. If you move slowly at a constant speed your aim will not be terribly affected (ie if you're tracking an enemy while theyre moving). This is coming from a sniper whore ^^

That is really a brief answer to the problem. I was also facing the same issue of shot missing and now after your guideline i am now able to hit the target easily without any mistakes. Well, if you are using RPG-7, then everything can go wrong or not. Sometimes I am able to hit 100% accurate even after running, aiming and instantly firing. Sometimes I can't hit even after aiming for "deviation settle time".
RPG-7, you are a mystery to me.
Some say deviation gets settled faster if you aim, crouch, stand up and then shoot. Face-to-face shootouts are always fortune games for me.

It feels more accurate to crouch with RPG-7 because it's zeroed at 200m by default, so firing point being lower = less need to aim low around 100m against an APC on flat ground.Jacksonez__ wrote:Well, if you are using RPG-7, then everything can go wrong or not. It's fairly accurate if you make sure you don't move mouse while shooting.
Just need to aim for the wheel level if enemy APC is close.

Re: Any tips on how to aim?
If the enemy is ~10 meters away from you I guess you will hit your shots. But if he's ~50-100 meters away, you have to wait 1-2 seconds after you aim and only then shoot if you want your bullets to hit exactly where you're aiming. After the first shot make small pause maybe like 0.3 -0.5 seconds and then shoot again. By doing this your second/third/fourth bullet will be accurate too. After playing a lot you will get the feeling whether you will hit or not. If you want to kill your enemy with 2 shots, then aim at their legs or hands.MrBrooks wrote:I have been playing this Mod since it came out, but the one thing I suck at is killing anyone LOL.
