Showing off game models

i just really like how the model is shown, with the iron sights and stuff, when this mod comes further along, i think id would be cool to show off the iron sights, and have a decent closeup of the skin on the model. and have all those litttle descriptions on the side also.

Mate, they always do that to there models to make them look more appealing. They end up looking shithouse when you get in game.

Why let the dev's spend time on things like this when they could be doing something else important.

lol i doubt it would look like shit ingame, i prefer a neutral background for a render though.

no its not the background that im trying to get attention to, its how it has the iron sights, i never really see mods showing off models of their ironsites[/quote]

well if they were gorgeous 3d ironsites i'd agree but they're not that special at all. the rest of the thing looks cool though but i still feel the best way to show a new model is ingame.

Renders are widely used and almost always shown before ingame models, and with no MDK released there isn't another possiblity to show them.
