Mumble Issues
Run mumble as admin to start with:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\bin\PRMumble
Right-clicking on the PRmumble.exe file, selecting properties and in the compatibility tab I checked the box in Privilege Level to run the program as adminstrator. Hope it works for you. Cheers.
Make sure your firewall isn't blocking the mumble connection to the server.
Don't forget to setup mumble on first launch. Go to the launcher-->options--> PR mumble tab and there press the Launch button. Open the Settings and there setup your input/output device. You can also try toggling some of the extra settings to troubleshoot connection issues.
Cannot retrieve account
Accounts from before v1.2 cannot be retrieved. If you have forgotten your pw, email or account name you won't be able to retrieve your account at all. Be careful when making them!

Visual C++ issues
If the launcher gives you errors relating Visual C++ see this thread:

No desktop shortcut
The PR installer will automatically create the desktop shortcut for you.
If for whatever reason this does not happen, then you will need to make it yourself. Navigate to your PR directory, example:
(Default directory)
"C:\Program Files (x86)\project reality\project reality BF2\mods\pr\bin"
Right click on "prlauncher.exe" (it will have a dogtags icon), then go Send To -> Desktop (Create Shortcut). Then rename it to "Project Reality", and then you can double click that icon to launch PR from now on.
