Server Crash when requesting kit from enemy supply crate?
So, I may not have been the cause, but basically the title, I was a LAT that was out of ammo, I thought I would cheekily try and get an enemy one, as soon as I clicked the AT package the entire server disconnected. Suffice to say i won't try it again, but it might be worth investigating as a potential crash.

We'll have a look at it, but likely a coincidental thing.

On the contrary, DO try it again, and hopefully the same thing will happen.Khorney wrote:Suffice to say i won't try it again

Even if it was coincidental, you do realize you're advocating to crash (potentially, a full) a server on purpose right? I'm sure the test team will have their own way of figuring it out without ruining the gameplay of a given (full) server.Boris wrote:On the contrary, DO try it again, and hopefully the same thing will happen.

Oh I'm sure people would survive the ordeal, I mean, it's not as though server crashes are a rare occurrence in PR...
I would much prefer that the OP's discovery did turn out to be repeatable, and that the find lead on to bug fixes in the application, potentially reducing the rate at which these server crashes occur.
Much rather that happen than rely on the hope that some dev will get around to recreating the same scenario successfully.
By all means, find bugs in any way you can.
