1322 Launch Error

Ok, so Im brand new to Project Reality and I thought It'd be a simple install but it's so far having me rip my hair out:

My BF installation is via Steam incase there's a problem there.

Heres a little extract from the Error Window:

1322: Error Verifying profile settings. Please confirm the profile files are not Read Only and try again. If the problem continues, try resetting all profiles to default in the Option menu.

I have read about Renaming both the BF2 and PR Folders in "My Documents" to soemthing like "Battlefield2 backup" and "ProjectReality backup" however these steps have proven unsuccessful.
I have registered a username and password with PR and tried retrieving my Profile on the PRLauncher, again this failed.

Is there anything else I could possibly attempt to have this work as I really want to give this game a go, after reading about it and watching gameplay vids.

Hi,

I'm new and I have the same error. It say to change the option to it's default setting, but it doesn't work. I can't change the setting + can't launch the game. Sometimes, I can launch, but it crash right after.

I just played one game, but I tried to launch the game like 20 times.

Try making a new profile.As far as I know you cannot retrieve your BF2 profiles since Gamespy shutdown but I may be wrong.

I don't think it's the problem, because I only tried with an offline profile to try the game, but it doesn't seem to work.

Is there any problems running Battlefield 2? I suspect there's a conflict between PR and BF2.

It's a bug for sure.

I only have BF2 demo and it was running fine before they shutdown Gamespy. I don't think there is a possibility like BF2 (full) to find a server on the demo. There is Gameranger, but nobody is playing the demo, so maybe I could try to remove it and see...
