Unable to launch game, fullscreen.

After I press "play" in the launcher the game starts to load/verify etc. -> black screen -> back to windows, unloading and then shuts down.

I've narrowed it down to that this happens only when the settings are set to full screen, and above at least 1024x700@60Hz resolution.

If I run it in windowed mode, I can use my maximum res. at 2048x1152@60Hz.
Switching to windowed mode causes the non-start above.

I have reinstalled 3 times, and tried a lot of deleting profiles folders, starting the game w/o the launcher etc. Nothing solves the problem.

I want the immersion of full-screen in this game. (And the buttons in the menus in windowed mode are all miss-aligned).

Anyone have any idea what might cause this?

AA: Anti Aliasing.
8x: Number of samples of said anti aliasing.
