BMP-2 ROF isn't a problem at all.sweedensniiperr wrote:I actually thought (haven't played 1.31 yet) that russians were OP. But not exactly down to map and layout. It's that GabeNamnt BMP-2. Sure you can spot it easy with thermals but the he turn his turret and shots you a baziliion times and you are not equal.
Do I have to bump the old bmp-2 rof thread?
CAN WE REDUCE THE BMP-2 ROF YET?
You can easily beat BMP-2 by turning off engine and smoke up the VBCI.
Not to mention the French have AT-4(shoot BMP-2 in the back, it's easy with all the dense forest and BMP-2's lack of thermals).
That reminds me, BMP-2M needs a buff:

It can fire two ATGM consecutively.

Re: Nuijamaa
I like this map, by far one of the more balanced maps in the game IMO.

Re: Nuijamaa
I have to agree that the new changes made the map unbalanced.
FR has better weapons, guided HAT, AT4 and VBCI that is a bit better than the BTR.
Removing the tanks was a good decision because they didn't fit into the map but you should give the RUS something to have a fair chance against all the advantages the FR have. Change it to 1 BMP2 + 1 BTR80A vs 2 VBCI.

They nerfed it for gameplay sake, apparently it was too OP being able to fire ATGMs one after another.ComradeHX wrote: That reminds me, BMP-2M needs a buff:

Could "balance" it by having each missile do less damage to MBT instead.viirusiiseli wrote:They nerfed it for gameplay sake, apparently it was too OP being able to fire ATGMs one after another.
Both missiles in-air will be guided, right?

"Balanced" because it can't shoot at full speed.Navo wrote:But so can the Bradley??

Re: Nuijamaa
I visited Nuijamaa today with my girlfriend and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised how the map corresponds with the actual location.
Of course there are many unrealistic things and design shortcuts that bother me with the ingame level, especially when comparing our photos with the game, but it's understandable that it's quite impossible/pointless gameplay-wise to make a location like that equally matching in BF2. Can't wait to play more rounds on this one, hopefully my new local knowledge will give my squad the upper hand.

I agree, and it was my own fault. While this will continue hopefully the next version will feel less picket fence and more like the actual area in terms on the village.Fragmentality wrote:Of course there are many unrealistic things and design shortcuts that bother me with the ingame level, especially when comparing our photos with the game

I haven't had a great round to judge it fairly. I've mainly been flying trans since the team usually needs it. I hope to get a good round in soon though.

I'm enjoying this map. Attacking/defending the comms center is awesome. I like how there's open ground around it and that trench on the south side that gives good protection when defending against armor.

This is imho one of the most balanced maps in the game, atleast the APC variant.

That's great to hear, can't wait to see further developments on this map.[R-DEV]Rabbit wrote:I agree, and it was my own fault. While this will continue hopefully the next version will feel less picket fence and more like the actual area in terms on the village.
During our visit we accidentally drove into an area that was off-limits
