MIC WORKS DURING SETUP BUT NOT IN GAME! PLEASE HELP!

when i first installed this game, i joined a server and it was working, now after acouple days later its stopped for some reason, and i dont know why, i tried resetting my options, that didnt work, i tried reinstalling it, that didnt work as well (i reinstalled it atleast 3 or 4 times), so i kinda lost hope, so im counting on you guys to help me please, btw my pc is running on windows 8

1)Launch mumble.
2)Go to settings->Mumble->launch.
3)Open Mumble settings and check if the input and output devices are the ones you use (It should show your audio device's name) and are the same.
4) If not rerun audio wizard and see if your device shows up and select it.
5)Save settings and start game.
Should work.
Also check if window's default sound input device is your mic.

its still doesnt work, everyone has told me that, but it doesnt work, or atleast for me, the mumble is not connecting

Do you see any loudspeaker icon on the bottom right of your screen when you press local or global chat? What keys have you selected for local and global? Does the Mic test in the BF2 settings screen work? Have you tried alt tabbing out and just killing mumble and letting it start again?

I believe I have the same problem. It seems it occurs randomly.
Yesterday after few game reboots and mic switching everything finally worked. This morning also after few restarts I managed to make it work. But now I tried everything I did before but nothing worked.

When configuring mumble offline everything works (input and output devices are set correctly) and I can hear myself in wizard.

Problem occurs after joining a server. I can hear other squad-mates but even if I can see loudspeaker icon after pressing push-to-talk buttons (V and B, duplicate controls in-game removed) other people can't hear me. After minimizing the game and opening mumble from tray I can't hear myself in a wizard and in BF2 settings anymore (in BF2 settings I couldn't hear myself even without joining server). Killing mumble had no effect.

I know the Mumble serving has been laggy recently resulting in choppy audio for me at certain times, but it's never completely cut out on me where a Mumble client restart on my end didn't fix it.

i fixed it, my mic was on proxy not on direct lol im such a dumbass
