Horribly slow update speed

When updating through the launcher I get a speed of around 25kbs

This is infinitely slower than my actual internet.

Is there any other way to download the updates than through the launcher?

Which mirror are you downloading from? It should show a picture during the update.

Its from 'Ancient mans' I believe, Which should be fine because I am actually in Australia, But it isn't working well for me.
