Error 39? Please Help!!

Post by AloofSnackbar »

Okay, so im really hyped up to start up project reality for the first time. I've installed the game, and made an account, but when it starts up, it shows the main menu then an error message saying "39:Key error" When i press "ok" or the x button, it kicks me out to the desktop. This is really frustrating. Please help. Here's the log:

Code: Select all

Project Reality Log File
PRLauncher.exe started at: 2015-06-20T18:13:30

Critical Error: 39: Key Error.

 > System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Security, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.
File name: 'System.Security, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

Check the support button in the PR launcher click on the tab that says "keys" make sure the keys didn't accidentally get deleted somehow.

Are you running PR as an administrator?

If you are running a 3rd party anti-virus, like AVG or Norton, try disabling it temporarily, or see if you can create an exception for PR.

Also check the support forums below.

Okay, I'll try that, man. Thanks!

update: I deleted 4.5.2, shut down and turned on my computer, reinstalled 4.5.2, and opened up the launcher. No dice. The same error is popping up. This is getting annoying

A whole day without suggestions? Did you all run out of suggestions, or just not willing to help? I'm not trying to be rude or anything but It's really frustrating when you have a game that doesn't even work. The same error. I disabled my antivirus and everything but still nothing. This is really annoying.
