I'm making this thread to ask for your support for my project, of making a clan/group dedicated to training new players up to PR standards.
We all know that with the release of v1.3, we had a major influx of new players, majority of which are completely lost in the complicated world of PR.
This is why I decided to organize a group dedicated to training these new players. While there are a lot of good veterans out there who will often lay a hand to new players ingame, I believe this effort is now insufficient to deal with the great number of new players we have.
I believe we need to unify our efforts of helping the new players get to PR standards, because that's the only way they'll enjoy playing PR, and that's the only way they'll keep playing PR. And as we all know, as PR gets older, it will be harder to get a new player base, so to extend PR's life we need to keep these new players in. That's our duty as the PR Community, to keep the game we love to play alive.
What do I need to make this happen? Not much.
While I have been playing PR for a while, I do not consider myself a veteran, and I don't believe I am 100% qualified to teach new players beyond the basics. So I need help from the PR veterans out there, to act as instructors, for the new players who might be interested in joining our course.
I'm not qualifying this as a "clan", a group rather. So I'd hope even veterans who are already in a clan could, with their clan leader's permission, participate as instructors in this group, in their free time.
To start off, 3 to 4 instructors would probably suffice.
I'd also like to ask for support from the various communities, groups and clans in PR, to help with their resources, since we will have nothing.
Of course we also need new players to participate in the course, so I'd ask the PR Community to refer new players to us, so we can help them out.
How do I plan to start and what are the plans in the long range?
In the long range, I would hope to have 2 divisions in the group: a Combat School Division, and a Deployed Combat Division.
The objective of this Deployed Combat Division would be to give the new players who completed their combat school with us: a nice, organized, friendly group to play PR with. Because that's just the best way to play PR, with a group of friends. It would work more like a conventional PR Clan/Group. It would also have the goal to enrich the gameplay experience of the rest of the PR community, by bringing the good, organized and friendly behavior of the group to public servers, taking roles of leadership within public teams, to make everyone's experience better.
But to start off, the plan is to start only with the Combat School Division.
The Combat School Division is the main objective of this whole project, it's the division where PR veterans serving as instructors would teach new players and train them to PR standards by means of individual and scheduled group training, and also practical action exercises in public servers. The dedicated instructors of this group would also lead training squads in public matches, to pick up new players who might not be so much in the community and forums, and provide them with a pleasant first experience of PR, by acting as a support squad in the back of the fight, where it will be easier for new players to learn and adapt.
Would this be a MilSim group?
No, it would not.
The objective is to get new players up to PR standards, not military standards, and to make a friendly and relaxed, but organized group, where new players can learn their routes.
So, how to participate?
I still haven't setup a website or anything, and neither have I actually organized a proper "officialised clan". And it might not happen for a while either. After all, it's still all just me here.
Nonetheless, I'd like to start working with new players ASAP.
So either you are a new player looking to get into this crazy new world of PR, or a PR veteran (or a fairly experienced player), if you're interested in this project, please contact me via PM, or leave a reply in this thread and I'll contact you.

- The official name of the group will be Project Reality - Combat School Division =CSD= for now, little artwork added that will hopefully motivate people, and show that I'm actually dedicated to this and it's not just something I'll abandon
