Where and how do you play PR?

Post by PatrickLA_CA »

I'm quite interested to know where and under what circumstances people play PR.
For example, when I'm home I can't play as much because I try not to play a lot when the whole family is home because I don't like creating so much noise from the talking in PR as well as it makes me a bit uncomfortable talking to my computer while my family is doing normal stuff around me.
When I was in my dorm I could play pretty much 24/7 because me and my roommate had separate rooms and he also wasn't around that often.
This year however, I'm going to be in a dorm with 3 or 4 people which I think will make it quite difficult for me to play PR because everyone will probably want to study at a different time and the speaking might be a problem.

So, what are you stories?

I live in a small apartment with my girlfriend and I play in the living room, with her there most of the time. She would make fun of me calling for medics to start with, but I think she has gotten used to it.

Well when home at night. Back in university dorm, i used the basement lounges at night. Town house, whenever. I only play at night or when nobody is around so no bothering anyone.

My (ex) gf used to complain about me "killing" people in videogames. Seriously. Not even my parents are that retarded anymore :D

Doubt my parents will ever understand what makes me play video games(and the same ones over and over at that), but I guess they leave me be now. I still don't think they understand that I cannot pause the game and that others depend on me talking to them while they're talking to me though haha.

I mostly play in the evening hours up until 11 mid week and from early afternoon to around midnight on the weekend. I used to be able to play until 2, sometimes 3AM but that's gotten really rare over the last 2 years. Never pulled an all-nighter playing PR :D
VTRaptor: but i only stopped for less than 10 secs and that fucking awesome dude put 2 of them

]CIA[ SwampFox: well my definition of glitching is using an enemy kit to kill the enemy

Just_Dave: i have a list about PR players, and they r categorized by their skill

Para: You sir are an arse and not what the game or our community needs.

AlonTavor: Is that a German trying to make me concentrate?

Everything my parents have heard about PR are occasional swearwords coming from my room. They don't care since I'm moving away in one month anyways. I play around 7Pm-2am.

"dinner is ready lol"
"cant now"
"why you do this son, pause the game"
"cant :D "

In my room, there are 5 of us in the flat, but luckily I don't share a room with my sister since 1 and a half year ago. I play most of the time with nobody else in the room (best of course) but sometimes my sister comes in the room to sleep during the day only cause granny watches TV in her room, but I don't care, I still talk on Mumble, the essential stuff at least. xD Play at almost any time of the day (except from 3 to 12 in the morning cause I sleep then xD)

Living in a dorm room, appartement with 4 other people, can always play when I want.
Only problem is when roommates enter my room asking if I go to the pub with them or have a drink in the living room. Usually I say yes to them and have to leave the game earlier.

Kids to bed, read story go play for a few hours, kids have always known me talking at my computer for night sleep ritual. Wife doesn't complain at all, just kills the connection skyping her mum with video....

Thursdays and Sundays (I put it in my scheduler so nothing else gets booked in), grab a couple of beers and sit in my office, my gf calls it 'Murkey's Isolation Station' because if she tries to talk to me when I'm playing PR I dont give her proper responses. When I used to play with speakers, she would comment on the voices of my clan mates. Things like "Xact sounds happy today". Occasionally, when I need to be heard on local I wonder what my neighbours think is happening.

Also recently my gf asked me what 'Leroy' meant when used as a verb :p

Cheers, Murkey.
