I played a few rounds today and I didn't really run into many squad leader issues. (But yes, I did run into a few squad leaders who were "New"... but they were complete idiots who thought this game is like Battlefield 4 and Call of duty.)

But honestly, I doubt you'll run into any "new" squad leaders. Especially if it takes you time to get a mic. Since, I'm sure a lot of the people who are trying this game and dislike it will be gone by then.

On Topic,

I really do think 1.3 has been great. A few times I ran into players that just teamkilled and blew up your own teams asset. (Reminds me of a daycare... where it's chaos!). I'm sure those asshats will fizzle out in a few weeks. I really wonder how many players are sitting on the server browser screen waiting for that popular server to open a slot.... Gotta be in the hundreds. (Especially during the day!)

But I can't wait for the new stuff that will be out on PR, (falklands, ect).

Yeah that 4 dolla price tag on BF2 has been really holding us back.

Heck, I play BF3 and 4. I don't know how many times I see a lone pilot using the transport chopper to get to a high spot...and just waste and asset like that. of course there isn't a real punishment for doing that...so people don't really learn. Also...stingers and iglas on BF4...*shudders* Kind of hard to keep a bird in the air for long. That's why I have been wanting to play this for so long..you aren't suppose to just use a vehicle for your own gain...and if you do, you get punished for it...may sound strict to some, but come...a transport chopper isn't your own private elevator...it's for TRANSPORTATION...and a small scale of CAS if nothing else is available at that moment.

Don't you remember the days when battlefailed4 chopper was invincible due to onboard repairs?

Not really, but I do remember BF4 though...that was fun. However I do like the new agility of the updated choppers in BF4...least when they brought out that patch awhile back..

I can't name how many times I nearly flipped out because of that ****. I remember the light attack choppers... just have 2 engineers repairing the thing and you'll be unstoppable.

Yep, that (and many other things) is what stopped me from playing BF4. It just felt really rushed. A simple moneygrab. Too bad it also killed BF3. I have a real hard time finding populated servers that are not running 1000 ticket 24/7 metro grindfests.

Which means people, good or...bad, can get it without paying.
I'm one of those noobs that got or for free with the release of 1.3 and after 2 weeks of playing and seeing how much this game is what I was looking for I dec that I needed to donate as a way to pay for this game. So far I have donated $35 and I feel it's definitely worth it. Can't wait to see what the ww2 maps will be like when the devs are finished with them. And I really appreciate how understanding, helpful and patience you veterans are with us noobs. Keep on the good work guys! :D

why the fuck would you buy and play battlefield 4 anyway? to give the devil more money for his cashgrab premium 5 mini dlc games? i mean i understand if you tried out battlefield 3
but after that desaster how could you even think of giving ea one more dollar for another battlefield game? :D

BF4 was even better IMO, super many small improvements, such as the cover system, better squads, dynamic maps, etc.
haven't experienced those things players are complaining about though. like the bad netcode? had no problems at all. Don't know much about the premium content too, as I wont pay 100€ for a video game.

1.3 survival guide:

Never join a squad which has a non-Officer SL.
Kick all snipers and marksmen.
Kick all people with no mic.
Kick people who request special kits without SL approval.
Kick people who do not follow orders or stray too far.
Wait for decent players to join.

In the past few weeks I have seen plenty of (reasonably populated) squads lead by medics. I don't get it, why exactly do people think this is a good idea?

As for the rest of your points, that's kinda harsh, I think the standard procedure should be to tell newbies not to do this or how to do that, then warn them once if they don't comply before finally kicking them. Except no-mics of course, always kick them unless they reply in squad chat that they're having technical issues.

I have both.

BF4 is better. It may not be free like BF3 but it's only $19.99 with classic bf2 map dragon valley...etc. on the way.
Also, bf3's blue tint to everything ruined it for me.

BF4 still isn't very good.

Time I spent playing PR is 100x of time spent playing bf4.

bf 3 had the shittiest maps EVER....there was no bf feeling at all. the only ones playable where firestorm, caspian and one or 2 maps from the last dlc

and all those weapon add-on shenanigans where just not my thing i guess. at the beginning it was kinda cool and motivating but after a short time you realized how ridiculous it actually is.
it became a call of duty with tanks basically :(

I don't know, I like both games really. BF3 had some good maps, I liked the Armored kill (or whatever that dlc was called ) Though it did suck that on the consoles (wich is what I played) was limited to 24 players....those big maps with only 24 people and limited vehicles...sucked! One map that I hope comes back was Karhg(sp?) Island, Attacking on Rush was a struggle though.. Now BF4...they finally gave us the player count that PC players had....buuut most of their maps I didn't like..2nd assault maps are my fav so far. I am excited for the *vet map dlc* or whatever they end up calling it...kind of interested in seeing what maps made the cut. Then there is the community map that's being made..
