Low FPS when it used to run fine

Howdy one and all.

Played PR since 0.5 on this machine till around 0.8 ish. Did the 100player tests way back when and all that good stuff.
Never had a problem with my frames and since I last played I have upgraded my graphics card and bought a SSD.

Now when I go into a full server I cannot look in the direction of the fighting, or else my framerate will drop to as low as 15fps which is mindbendingly bad. Driving any vehicles is out of the question.

I do not get it in the slightest, I was able to run 100 player servers just fine before, exceeding 100fps with the frames unlocked.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, cleared the cache and cleaned the registry, dicked around with me sound drivers and graphics, changed the settings up and down (no change)

completely at a loss, It's driving me up the wall.

I'm far from an expert, but had a graphics slowing issue myself and GPU-z showed I was only on x1 not x16, but if you're playing other games you would've noticed that.

how often do you clean the inside of your computer? i would make sure there isn't any dust on the fans and good thermal paste applied.

of course, .5 was completely different than what we have now, a lot more hardware intensive

I too have a Core 2 Quad but in general older hardware and I get the same fps issues you described which gives me hope that it is a bug because it feels like PR isn't even pushing my hardware to the limit and I still get low fps.
