Check out Squad.
Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.
The only winning move is not to play. Insurgency, that is.

[R-DEV]Ninja2dan: Not having a spotter is like masturbating with a cheese grater...mildly amusing at first, but generally painful and bloody in the end.
Thornehaw: If all this have been evidently true, Battlefield is a much scarier and dirtier than ever imagined. Not a conspiracy, but a possibility. If it is true, then trusting another is quite worrisome.

Re: What happened to PR 2?
Exactly what AD said. PR2 is officially cancelled, scrapped, disbanded, shutdown, will not happen. Unfortunately there was no announcement of this, due to the team working on PR2 completely breaking down and being unable to inform their fanbase. It sucks, I know, but it is what it is.
I'm pretty sure we've removed all references to PR2 from this website, but let us know if there's still anything around saying it is still in development, because yeah, it isn't.
However, no need to worry! Squad is being made by ex-PR:BF2 developers, and is considered in every way the successor to PR:BF2. If you were excited for PR2, just transfer your excitement for Squad and stay excited! It's been successfully greenlit on Steam, successfully Kickstarted, and is well on its way to becoming the next big thing in the Teamwork/FPS genre.
