Insurgents vs Insurgents?

I've seen this topic brought up before, but it never really got a lot of attention. It's pretty odd that PR, a mod that puts emphasis on hypothetical and real conflicts in the modern age, lacks a scenario with two insurgent factions in battle. These kinds of conflicts are pretty prevalent right now, and I think it would make sense for Project Reality to have a scenario involving two non-state groups. Right now, we just have conventional armies fighting insurgents. Now I'm not telling anyone to go make a map involving two insurgent factions. I'm just bringing up the idea. I would be willing to do something like this myself, but I'm not sure how difficult it would be. How hard would it be for someone to modify an existing faction and an existing map to fit this kind of scenario?

Well, in Middle East, islamic kurds fight against islamic ISIL everyday, so making map insurgent vs insurgent is absolutely needed.

I was thinking of something involving Syria. Maybe Hezbollah vs. Syrian Opposition or one of the Maghreb conflicts between Islamist and other groups like the MNLA in Mali. Maybe a map involving Militia fighting the Syrian Opposition/Insurgents in the Caucasus. It would just be cool to see smaller scale conflicts between militant groups in the game.

Most of the factions you would've liked to see would require tons of work, it would be easier/less of a time drain if we reused assets from the exsistant insurgent factions and made bluefor version of one of them (would suggest the Syrians vs Iraqi insurgents). Otherwise you would need to find a modeller and people to make textures and all kinds of stuff just for a nifty map idea.

Something like that would work just fine. I think any of the existing insurgent factions would work for a map comprising of insurgents fighting each other.

If it could be implemented, a gamemode like that could have some potential. I feel like a miniature AAS would be more appropriate. Basically, it would just be skirmish but with two Insurgent factions so equipment and vehicles would be very similar or the same.

it would still be different factions. On Kafr, there's a Syrian Rebels vs. Insurgents layout, where one of them get a red headband to make sure they can be differentiated.

I would interpret this thread as the need for maps with the following faction facing each other:

- ARF
- Militia
- Taliban
- Hamas
- Syrian Rebels
- Insurgents
