Very good tip for new/newer players on AAS

Post by matty1053 »

Here is a very good tip for new players or "newer" players that don't know how AAS works...
You CANNOT CAPTURE flags that DON'T have a RED or ORANGE marker on it.
or READ THE MANUAL for a detailed explanation on how all game modes and everything works to make PR a epic experience for you and everyone else!

I cannot name how many times squad(s) are half way across the map on a flag without an attack marker on it!! I have been playing this game for around 6 or 7 years and it is ridiculous. (Yes, I know I created my account in 2013. It was to give feedback for v1.0. I didn't have a need for an account prior to 1.0 IMO) IF your not going to attack or defend the properly marked flag... at least do something constructive like making a firebase.

Have a awesome day, and see you on the battlefield! :)

You can press the number 3 to alternate between your rifles. single fire, burst fire or automatic fire modes.

Here is a very good tip for new players or "newer" players:
If you hold Q and look and the bottom right of your screen you will see approximately how full your clip is.

I have a good one for everyone...STAY WITH YOUR SQUAD if everyone is moving and suddenly stop, don't fucking keep walking until your 5 blocks away and separated from your squad. 8 man squads work excellent when you ALL listen and stick together, it sucks *** when you don't listen and scatter.

Use the standard PR grid system to call out targets. The maps are divided into grids using letters and numbers. Grids are further divided into 9 "keypads". On larger 4km maps, some people even use 9 more keypads to be more precise.

Example: L6k9s5 or "Lima 6, key 9, sub 5"

Numbers go down the left side. Letters go from left to right on the top. Notice the grid scale on the bottom right. (75m = 1km map, 150m = 2km map, 300m = 4km map) This overview is of Sbeneh Outskirts and it's a 2km map. Notice in the upper left corner for the standard keypad format. I guess some people were using a phone keypad instead of a keyboard numpad to call out grids. The PR-devs put it on the maps to avoid confusion.

I know it would help me if I could look at and sort through the maps the servers use. They seem to be a good deal different than those you can access offline, as far as objectives go. The gallery on this forum is quite deficient and sometime erroneous. Thanks

Sometimes those squads are waiting on another squad to cap the previous objective, so that they can immediately start capping the next one.

As I'm stating on this post was about one incident on ramiel. Where my squad and another squad were the only ones attacking BH1. The rest of the team was at the last flag. I ended up switching teams since our assets were gone.

3 of the squads over there were complaining via mumble why they aren't capturing it.

Another thing that really makes me paranoid is when I'm flying Trans and I drop people off at safe locations... and they complain to me. 90%of Trans pilots will NOT drop right on a enemy controlled area.
