i miss the fkey commands. They were soooo much quicker, especially whilst flying an aircraft. Now, i gotta take my hands away from the flight controls. Press q, move the mouse, click, grab the controls back, and hope i can matain control. Even as infantry...Hello!, i'm in my command column, please kill me. Is basically the statement made to those around you.

yeah, the fkey method needed some memorising but once you got that done it was much easier cus you didn't have to stop maneuvering.

All I ever say is "sorry" and "get in!" and that dosn't take much manouvering anyway. Especially since NOONE EVER LISTENS!

i think bf2 thought that the voip would eliminate the bulkier f-key commands, which it does, if people are talking, which they dont usually because people in squads usually end up spread out over the map, and its not possible to talk to a guy within earshot of you, cause hes not in your squad.

something needs to be done about that, and if it is, the command rose thing will become less needed and therefore less annoying.

still, i think its an improvement over the old system, especially for spotting things out.

Ahh, the long periods of boredom punctuated by the brief moments of sheer terror.

sorta that yeah. that's the kind of game i like. in bf2 now you don't have the time to sneak up on an enemy and make a surprise attack. also because of the time limit.

speaking of suppressive fire, there have to be effects if bullets fly near you and damage needs to be much more so it's acutally useful to give suppressive fire.

We ought to have more maps with a minimum of vehicles, imagine a city map with indoor fighting, and where squads would actually HAVE to work. Or maybe one where American task groups was to attack a Chinese underground facility, lots of hectic hallway fighting, using your limited grenades to a greater effect. Now, not saying we should turn it into CS, but just saying that it could be great fun to have a almost only indoor map.

I think the 'T' menu needs to be revamped, or another menu thing needs to be added.

The added menu needs to have the more basic commands, maybe even just one thing that is a smart command (like in brothers in arms, it automatically changes the command depending on what/where you are looking at) where you can look at a wall, push a button and click, and there is a mini waypoint there for your squad to move to. Or it designates a target (imagine the current spotted thing, except it glows a different color or has some other distinguishing characteristic that means Squad 1 shoot this now!

Yes, the q commands help to spot something...but what if u take out all the infantry, armor, aircraft spotted from the fkey's, make it into SPOTTED, and have it use your crosshairs to do the same thing the center of your q commands does. and that way if ur being attacked by a tank, you can continue shooting at the very least, while getting support your way.

all this talk of long respawn still makes my skin crawl, i can say that i would see long respawns as a bad thing that can overshadow even the greatest of games, the long waits in CS is what earned that game a spot on the shelf and off of my hard drive while i kept playing DOD for the fast paced and reasonably realistic gameplay.

I like the minimum vehicles idea, go the way of lostvillage in DC for a few maps, and if youre going to have vehicles, make it a lot of them, because when helicopters and tanks are used they are usually used in squads, not on their own...

it just all needs to be in pr together. longer spawn times, no spawning at bases that are under attack, objective based missions... and also what about shorter capping time? e.g. irl you don't wait for a minute to make it officially yours you just move on and clear the next area.
