Question to all - what volume do you play at? (Windows & PR options values)

Post by Megagoth1702 »

Hey guys,

as it says in the title.

I want to know your volume levels. :) The why will be answered some time later, once I got some data.

I personally play on 10% ingame and around 50% windows. I need that in order to have perfectly clear mumble communications at all times.

@Mods - am I too blind to find how to create a poll here?

It's impossible to compare because even headphones themselves make a huge difference.

I think it's good to have clear mumble communication but I like the immersion factor of having to speak louder over gunfire in order for people to hear you sometimes. I keep my game volume at max and mumble at default.

I now use 100% PR effects volume, maybe 5% music, and 40% on the Windows slider.

In-game 40%
Windows 100%
Volume controller on my headphones ~80% ((this is to reduce static coming from my cheap usb soundcard)

I'd say my settings are too high, but the gunshots sound much punchier if its on the louder side.

I dont know what mumble settings I'm using but I use the + and - signs to increase/decrease the mumble volume depending on the situation.
