I'm glad you like it.

We were just trying to get Civis from the troll-teamplay over to doing the work they were designed for; Supporting the team by providing Intel and aiding the team from the sidelines, not trying to mass suiciding on the enemy in order to make it nearly impossible and unfair for bluefor to win this.

For the next versions uTurista is taking over on the game mode and will create Insurgency 2.0.
Stay tuned for official public play tests as well!

I agree that gameplay encouraged civis to play like trolls. Some people called it strategy but to me it just seemed like trolling and glitching. Really bogged the game down and annoyed so many people. I've also noticed that insurgency rounds tend to be much closer now, making victory more satisfying. Good change IMO.

What deployables don't kill anymore? Just tonight I was running away like a little girl.

No they still do, just less frequently. Don't place assets above you on a slope, you will dead.

The updated firebase and the Roadblocks will not kill you, although they may hurt you slightly while "pushing you out of the foundation" if it did deploy on top of you. I haven't updated all of the deployables yet with the new system however that prevents deployables from crushing players etc so all the others still will for the time being :p

I think one of the biggest improvements in 1.3 was the revision to Commander UAV and Mortars.

2 mortar pits is just the right amount (takes fewer units away from the frontlines), and you can't always rely on the commander's magic eye to tell you exactly where all the enemy positions are throughout the match.

Good job R-DEVs!

Yeah, whenever I try placing a deployable in a tight space, I immediately do a 180 turn and sprint away to avoid being crushed. Glad those days will be over.
