Black screen when triying to play

I discovered PR a few weeks ago, and i decided to play it, but when i press play on the launcher it launches the game, but it stays in a black screen and not responding

I tried to put it into a lower resolution than my pc because i watched some threads and that worked for him.

I'm travelling so i dont have a powerful PC, but im sure that i can play PR

Everything is updated C++, Direct X, .Net

does it stay in black screen or does it crash?

run in windows mode, does an error come up?

also ensure you have prlauncher.exe prbf2.exe and prmumble.exe whitelisted in your AV/firewall

i see that you have windows 10.. do you have all the updates for it? this is essential. if you don't, install them and try again in your native resolution

and you might be able to 'run' PR, but i doubt you'll be able to 'play' PR with that CPU.. it'll be like running microsoft powerpoint

1. No error, just black screen and not responding

2. Turned Off my Antivirus and they're whitelisted in my firewall. But, i'm not sure if the two (Plubic/Private) Needs to be selected or only one

3. Windows is updated, at least for me... i don't find any update

4. I played Dead Island (and another games) with decent Framerate with this PC. So i'm sure that PR will run

some ideas to try:

go to documents/projectreality/ and delete profiles
go to root PR install, run "prbf2.exe"

what happens here? it should tell you that you need to use the launcher

then try using the launcher using default settings

you can also try changing compatibility mode to windows 7 for the launcher

to confirm latest windows:

click on the bottom left windows start menu and go into settings. Then select Windows update! Make sure Windows 10 is up to date before trying to play PR.

I fixed it:

?How?

1. Deleted profiles folder on documents/projectreality
2. Go to the root folder of PR, set compatibility mode for Windows 7 on all the .exe (Incluiding launcher)
3. Launched
4. Waited a bit on the black screen without moving anything.
5. Launched great (On Windowed and Full screen, and in native resolution)
