Scorpion IFV
I really tried to look for the actual Scorpion reload time, well:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af8VpFfeOww
fires at 0:21
fires again at 0:28
(~7-7,5 second reload time)
though the camera zoomed in, I think it is continuous shoot as the sound stays same and stuff. The camera just fixed zoom at the Scorpion. I also think they could have done it faster, you can hear the "FIRE!" shouted by the commander, so they were actually reloaded before the "FIRE" command. So 6,5-7 seconds?
Meanwhile in PR, I clocked the Scorpion reload time at ~10,5 seconds (kept LMB pushed down)
Any input from R-Devs?

Code: Select all
ObjectTemplate.ammo.reloadTime 9
ObjectTemplate.ammo.minimumTimeUntilReload 1Not to mention it's a BRITISH vehicle, those guys definitely were cheating by not drinking tea between shots.

assetruler69: I've seen things you smurfs wouldn't believe. Apaches on the Kashan. I watched burned down tank hulls after the launch of the single TOW. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to give up and respawn.

I tested it on local server (delay 0ms) and I kept the LMB pushed down all the time until new shot was fired. 9 seconds is too much anyways, since it is shorter if time if you watch the video. 7 to 7,5 seconds reload+fire, that time (from vehicle settings) is just reload time - not combined reload+fire time.rPoXoTauJIo wrote:It's 10 seconds, so i guess you're finger is slow by 500ms-30ms(~server frame)Code: Select all

It's a reload time from a stationary prepared position. Doubt that in combat situations it will take you that small time while constantly being in move. Unfortunately, we can't simualte dynamic reload times in this engine, so i guess this have been chosen as middle.

Still, 10,5 seconds is still a bit too much in my opinion. Should be 8,5-9 seconds (so reload time is 7-8s). The crew is trained, it's not like they don't know how to reload while they are movingrPoXoTauJIo wrote:It's a reload time from a stationary prepared position. But if that was the case, every manual loader should have increased reload time. Manual loader (as in human loader) can't keep up the same loading pace in long battle but still e.g Leopard 2A6 has the fastest reload time. If devs took into count possible human exhaust in long battle, the reload time should be higher, not top-notch 2-4 seconds.

^^Look at my previous post. Reload time is a time for reload AND time before it starts reloading.
That's why Leo2a6 has 6 seconds reload time actually.

All sources i could find list either 6 RPM (10s reload what we currently have in game) or 7 RPM (which is ~8.5s reload).

Well it's still pretty dank fast, if you watched the video they reload (and fire) the Scorpion in approximately 7 seconds.rPoXoTauJIo wrote:^^Look at my previous post. Reload time is a time for reload AND time before it starts reloading.

Why not autocannon reload times then too? It takes shit tons of time to reload the autocannons for sure in real life. Reloading Bradley autocannon:
http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/sho ... oad&page=2Well, minimum ssnake would be 2 minutes, altho a good loader could do it a little faster, then depending on the gunner, me, it took me all but 45 seconds as a gunner to load it into the feeder, so lets stick with 3 minutes per ap and 3 minutes per he. That would make it a little more realistic.
Would be just nice if the Scorpion would get a bit lower reload time.

I'm sorry but that video is not a solid reference since between 21 and 28 seconds the video is cut at 24secs to a diffrent level of zoom, also cutting some time out in-between too which you can tell between the amount of smoke that has gone from before the cut. As such I would say there is around 3secs of video footage missing between those two shots.Jacksonez__ wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af8VpFfeOww

All information we have found on the Scorpion say it has around a 10 second reload time, as it has ingame.

Yeah I noticed that myself too. Out of curiosity, where did you find 10 second reload time source?[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:I'm sorry but that video is not a solid reference since between 21 and 28 seconds the video is cut at 24secs to a diffrent level of zoom, also cutting some time out in-between too which you can tell between the amount of smoke that has gone from before the cut. Dont question the wikipedia! Just because it reports different things on different languages does not make it unreliable source!

Just to clarify we use more sources than just wikipedia but they all say more or less the same thing with 6 rounds / min (10sec reload).'[R-CON wrote:UTurista;2091610']https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FV101_Scorpion
