I wouldn't go with SAA, it feels quite different. All of the factions you listed are a bit harder to balance against mec. I think the map has much more a tajikistan feel than anything so RU v MEC could work for you.

Yeah, you're right about it not having the "syrian feeling", but I think it could pass for Afghanistan. I think dutch vs mec would be cool, a bunch of fenneks vs MTLB's in the desert hills(They are pretty equal in power,or am I wrong?). Russia vs MEC would be cool. Although i'd still like this map to have mostly iron sights.

BF2 Editor will delete some things when saving for no reason. It's always a good idea to make copies of the file when you can and use a comparing tool like WinMerge which compares two files side-by-side and highlights any changes, making proof-reading code much easier (Props to Rhino, AM, Mats391 for the tip)

yeah me too, but it's not possible atm.. If the ANA faction doesn't get finished I think the best thing would be to use hamas/militia with arab voices (vs taliban), they could represent the half-broken government faction pretty well.
EDIT: unfortunately that's not possible beacuse we can't use no-scope vs no-scope.
only thing is to use atm is US vietnam faction but I doubt the devs would like that..

Thanks for the tip, although it has never happened to me so far..
yeah me too, but it's not possible atm.. If the ANA faction doesn't get finished I think the best thing would be to use hamas/militia with arab voices (vs taliban), they could represent the half-broken government faction pretty well.

Yes it is possible, when I say opfor I mean all the modern factions without scopes(militia,fsa,taliban,hamas etc) It's not possible to use those against eachother. I edited my previous post a little since it was a bit unclear.[R-DEV]Rabbit wrote:RU V MEC is most likely possible, I would try it.

Came up with this by going through map gallery. To be honest I, too, favour Germany vs MEC simply because there are a few more assets in the making that allow for very distinct combat scenarios using the 4 available layouts.

Do the germans have some light APC like something stronger than jeeps but weaker than panthers?
I think the heaviest weapons should be 50.cals or something like BTR-80s max, if heavier they should atleast not have thermals. That's why I thought about the dutch since their fenneks are not too OP and correct me if I'm wrong, about the same strenght as MTLB's
But I don't know, Kashan seems to work pretty well and there are not even rocks or bushes to hide behind, so perhaps it could work with heavier assets aswell..

Well, since the Fuchs has been revealed and the Marder's autocannon was shown elsewhere, it's highly likely Germany will get at least these two in the next update depending on when it's being released. Other would-be options that I don't know the development status about are the Boxer, the Dingo and the Fennek, but atm that's just telling you about the stuff we currently field rather than what is available ingame.
With the Fuchs compareable to MTLBs and the Marder 1A3 to BMP2s, there are a lot of options you can go for to create balanced matchups between the two armies(asset wise).

i have a suggestion RU vs Taliban for AAS as a ALT layer etc to simulate the Russian invasion of that took in 1979-1989 or maybe you could make a form of insurgency layer with this map.
