Error: 1322, unfixable?

I know this is a common error with common fixes, however none of the three methods I've seen work for me now. Resetting all profiles no longer works, deleting the Documents/Project Reality file no longer works and ensuring they aren't read-only has never had any effect.

I literally now cannot play the game and am running the latest version.

1. Go in "My Documents"
2. Delete "ProjectReality" folder
3. Go to root install directory, and run PRBF2.exe

it SHOULD prompt you to use launcher.. post what happens

Cheers I'll give that a bash in a bit. Sorry my post was a wee bit passive aggressive, it was late and I get pissy when I want to play PR and something's in the way


Method 1
It opened a window for it creating a full screen black screen, I waited a good while, nothing changed. Alt-tab out to get this; (attachment "PR Advice 1")

I can't find that address on my installation.

mods/bf2/shaders/staticmesh.fx not found!!!_DO_check your working directory...

Have you got BF2 and any other mods installed.

If it was me I would re install PR, after removing any other BF2 related stuff.

how did you install download PR? torrent or direct?

how did you install PR? extract or mount device?

if you can, uninstall PR, clean registry, restart, download PR via TORRENT, install via mount device like powerISO or ultraISO. DISABLE AV prior to download and install just to be on the same side.

it sounds like a bad install.. because that file doesn't even exist since standalone

So we don't know what is causing this problem? I'm just trying to understand the root of the problem, rather than applying a band-aid fix.

In my case:

* I don't think it's a bad install.
As I said previously, my game was working fine for at least a year since my last re-install.

* When was the last update/patch?
I haven't played much of PR for afew months. I thought I remember doing an update, but did not try playing until a few nights ago.

* Why would I be able to login and play PR after a fresh install for 1 account?
Then - get the 1322 error for ALL OF MY ACCOUNTS - AFTER I retrieve a 2nd account? Are we now limited to 1 account?

I don't think the error is on the local machine. Something is causing my accounts not to be recognized AFTER I connect to the PR servers.

Any thoughts?

well the error he was describing is independent from error 1322, which has to do with shaders

regarding 1322.. i have no idea if its a problem from client.. it seems to be more of a client to server verification error or something as a few folks have that problem recently. i haven't logged in game for a good 2-3 months now, but I am able to log in fine.. and i know you've had your account for a while so i'm assuming this error isn't exclusive for new accounts

are you unable to play on any of your accounts, cushing?

With these kinds of issues, getting everyone to post things that they could have in common (that aren't in a standard windows install) can help, such as any AV programs running, whether UAC is activated, special router/modem setups. There may be a pattern

I'm still having this issue. Has there been any kind of fix discovered yet? The only method I haven't tried is making sure the firewall is blocking access to the folder as I haven't figured out how to do it. Any help forthcoming...?

for a while it worked, but now it doesn't... i even went through the same routine, and it didn't work! maybe Dev team could make a slightly change on where to put the profile files. if it goes automatically into one folder and you are not able to change its location, then the number of users that have this problem will continue to grow.

Hi, mate try re-installing with your anti-virus's real-time scanning disabled. Or just try running the game with it disabled, that's how I have to run it these days. McAfee screws up lots of games, this one included it seems.
