Lost Connection to Server

Post by Bawlin »

I've tried multiple servers and within minutes to an hour it will randomly kick me for no reason due to lost connection to server. I've tried multiple fixes ranging from turning off windows firewall, upgrading to windows 10 from windows 7, uninstalling teamspeak overwolf, and even hitting the esc key to try to postpone the lost connection.. Overall none of these methods have fixed the issue and help is appreciated. I have not tried any port forwarding and I am directly connected to the internet with an ethernet into the Xfinity router.

In your modem/router settings try turning off WPS, turn off UPnP, and set your DHCP Lease Time to something with like 6-7 digits (4000000) doesn't need to be anything specific just needs to be a lot longer than default lease time settings. Give that a shot, I have an ARRIS modem/router combo and changing those 3 settings stopped my server disconnecting problems on Windows 7, not sure if it will on Windows 10.

Still lost connection to host after your first post but I have yet to try to turn off QoS in advanced settings in mumble.

Edit: thanks for the help!

Bawlin,

To turn off QoS, open the PR launcher.

Go to Options -> PR Mumble -> Launch -> Configure -> Settings -> Check "Advanced" Box Lower Left Hand Corner -> Network -> Uncheck Quality of Service (QoS).

I don't know if that will help, but I hope so. I need ya' in my squad, son!!!!
