To be honest our main source of inspiration is to imagine PR in a WW2 setting. We're not being particularly influenced by other games, although they are awesome in their own way.

So if this is a big success, might it ever come to pass?!
I think it'll very hard to happen. The only way I would ever give green light to such a colossal project would have to come from a dedicated team or suddenly have player models, vehicles and unique statics for the japanese faction.

It was a planning flaw to think that back then it would be possible to make a mini Pacific theater even without the support of other mods which own Imperial Japan assets. I was mapping Iwo Jima and even went as far as thinking of doing Okinawa next (or Manchuria if the russian faction was in progress) but later on it proved to be an impossibility due to reasons stated before.

IF we ever think of doing other theaters, it would most likely be the russians since we have plenty of unique weapons, vehicles and even player models. However the western front is giving us a lot of work as it is just for a basic portrayal. There is more in depth that we want to do after the initial release but will also come down to more mappers volunteering and helping us out.

I understand, I am sure it is a huge task already! I was just wondering since there has yet to be a realistic portrayal of the Pacific Theater as far as I know. I can't wait though, and good luck with the awesome project!

Hard to tell, depends on your definition of "soon" ;)

I think we are still planning on another mini-release similar to the alpha as a beta before hopefully getting integrated with PR at some point, but currently it's hard to tell when that will be. Currently there's quite a bit of new context being worked on and it can take a while at some points between other projects.

Very interesting pics! Always nice to see neat pics :)

Fun little video I found on facebook. Very detailed in how most WW2 anti-air batteries worked, especially those of the Germans.

Well, since nobody else mentioned anything, and without going into full detail as everything is still very much WIP, I'm attempting to finish up some special toys for Omaha beach and creating a small program to weed out unnecessary files to make the total download smaller (which I should probably get back to pretty soon...lol).

Other than that the usual, people are finishing up/working on some new maps, KaB and some others (I think?) are working on updating animations, few coders are working on vehicles and more, etc. :)

My guess is we'll have enough content in the near future to give out another little update, but we still have a few things to do before then :)

Can't wait to play this minimod again. The alpha was too good for only a few days of gameplay.

EDIT: Are you guys still alive?
