Some Questions.

Hi, I am new to this and I have some questions.

I installed the game and it looks great especially with the enhanced visual mod.
What really got me was the recoil kick in the guns which is so awsome, no other game has this.

Here are some Q i need answers to:

(Keep in mind that I am new I haven't played online yet, I play offline with bots to get the hang of it first)

1. The Bullet projectiles.

When you shoot you can see the bullet travel every 5 shots, meaning theres a 5 interval.
I wanted to see all my bullets, did some research and what I had to do is change ObjectTemplate.tracerInterval 5 to 1. However this is not client sided but server sided.
This means the server decides this instead of me. Offline I can change this but online it wont work (I already get a warning message that some files changed and I cant play online like this..) Is there a way to force the interval to 1 online? I really want all the bullets to be visual.


2. Where is the sniper kit ?

Experimenting with bots, I cant find the sniper.


3. Changing kit says "Choose another kit".

I always have to choose the 3rd kit, whenever I want another kit its not available, probably because its full with bots. How can I choose the kit I want and kick the bot if its necessary?


4. Is there any game mode to play in small maps like Team Death Match?

Sometimes I just want to shoot.


5. Is the support for Arma dropped ?

I dont see it in the download section, not in the forum threads.


Please no insults like "Go play cod" or something.., I just left BF because its too arcade.

I know the main objective of the game, as I said "sometimes I just want to shoot", not always.
Off course I dont expect this game to be a a deathmatch game, I just wondered if there was a mode like this on the side.

The closest you will get to TDM is skirmish which uses small versions of the maps, servers tend to use these whilst their player numbers are increasing in the early evening.

You cannot change settings like tracer ratios and still play online, this is to ensure a fair experience for all players, additionally soldiers don't have tracer only mags as standard IRL (although afaik there are instances where these can be used)

Sniper kits (as well as other limited weapons) are requestable using the T menu when you are in a squad. Go to a crate/APC/Supply depot to request these weapons.

You should be able to get any weapon you want on COOP afaik, as long as you are in a squad.

1.) Some factions and their rifles employ tracer ammunition that make the bullet travel visible. The ratio is - to my knowledge - set to every 3 shots for assault rifles and every 5 shots for machine guns. Server owners are usually prohibited from altering the code(unless they password their server) so I don't think you'll see it online.

2.) Many of the kits are so-called requestable kits and can only be selected from friendly supply crates, caches and your team's supply depot. The sniper kit is one of these. To request a kit, press and hold T, left click, then scroll up or down to the kit you want, left click again, and a message should pop up saying "The Kit has been allocated" or an error message if it's not possible for you to receive the kit and why. Then simply press G in order to pick it up.

3.) You'll have to be in a squad to select any kit aside from Rifleman.

4.) Skirmish mode. The servers try to "seed" themselves by playing these close quarters-all infantry maps. After the server is reasonably full, the game switches to either AAS or Insurgengy.

5.) PR ArmA is dropped, yes.

Have you looked in the supply crate? Go up to it and hold T to select a kit and then look down at it on the ground, hit G to pick it up.
