How Do I Mod Battlefield 2

So, a friend of mine knows Python, and I know somewhat 3D Modelling, and while looking into PR's folders, I saw there were folders named "python". Now, I've got a serious dream(or whatever) to be a Game Dev, and I was wondering, if I were to mod BF2, how would I do it. Like, what software do we need to use.

It's soo sad the bfeditor forums don't exist anymore

. That was a great source of information.
Use the tutorials on the PR, FH2 and BF SinglePlayer forums.

If you go back to the older snapshots it does. Not the recent ones.
