No error in windowed mode, have latest updates, ran PR from the root file and did not crash then but said needed to be ran from launcher. Hope this helps.

okay, so what happens when you run launcher? does it give a windows crash error? or is it not responding? if you try waiting for the game to load after a minute or so, does it still crash without input?

unplug both your audio input, try running the game again, any changes?

Crashes after the intro movie while trying to load the menu same point every time. Auto input is just headphones and same result plugged or unplugged.

Getting very frustrated cannot play the game for some time please hope to resolve this soon.

put your resolution to something low like 800x600 in windows mode with low settings, or try making a new profile
i believe it has to do with your video display settings, play around with it and let me know how that goes

double check latest graphics card update

Crashes again in same instance in windowed mode at lowest resolution, same "clearing resources" message. Downloading latest NVIDIA drivers now see if that helps at all.

prlauncher ->Options-> Audio tab

Set audio to software.
UNTICK all four Cue tickboxes. Click Apply.

Close the Options menu.

RESTART PR.

Play PR.

I cannot reinstall direct X since 9 does not work with 8.1 and it is already updated. If it helps to know PR is the only game I have any issues trying to run, no crashes on anything else I've played. Unless there's a way to update 11. Thanks

try running your normal resolution, but LOW settings, both windowed and fullscreen. paste your error if you get one in windows. your game shouldn't be crashing if you have all the necessary prereqs, esp if you can run fine from prbf2.exe..
also try disabling the intro, found in the launcher settings

take a look at where your profiles are in documents/project reality/profiles/000x, how many files do you see in each? give me a #

when you crash, is it a windows error or is it launcher saying "closing resources bla bla bla"?

Okay now when disabling the into movie, crashes right as game as launched just with the "closing resources" no different error message in either windowed or non.

Adjusting graphics has seemed to have no effect. I run resolution 1920x1080 as I have that monitor resolution @ 60 hz.

Just has 1 folder that says "0001" if that helps.
