cyclic not responding in game play but does in configs

I can configure my cyclic controls in the configurations, but when I go into game play they don't respond. Everything else works as it should except my pitch and roll. They map in the heli controls but not in game. Any ideas? I am using an antiquated saitek x45, but windows 10 sees all the functions of the set up just fine.

I really want to get this working..
