Yeah. That's uh... that's pretty much what I'm saying. Also I never have any trouble briefing my Squad at the beginning of rounds. Like I said, I play on my server. I like my server. As does the vast majority of Project Reality's active player base.Fir3w411 wrote:Basically what you're saying is that idiots that enjoy mic spamming (whom make up quite a large portion of your player base) should be allowed to do exactly that and disrupt the briefing time. And if they "really care that much" about it then remove their headphones and NOT brief their squad at all.
I provided examples. If its worse than that, post it here and I'll take care of it. If its not worse than that... sorry buddy. I'm not here to make the whole world happy, I'm here to make my community happy. My community doesn't like the "core" PR community any more than you like us. So if you're gonna try to like... guilt me about this or something, good luck.
BAM. Couldn't have said it better myself. GG Priceline.PricelineNegotiator wrote:Yeah, this is why most veterans avoid FCV. It caters to a totally different audience than what PR is used to.
potatochan;2101029']When FCV was offline due to technical issues or something we did notice an increase of player population at late Night on our Server and the playerbase was so bad that I decided to instead shutdown the Server at Night so they don't play here. Just saying.
Did anyone watch Lirik's stream when he mostly played on FCV? Probably gave 20.000 of his watchers the wrong idea of PR aswell welp....
If the "wrong" idea of Project Reality makes us the most popular server in the game, and we have celebrities playing to an audience of 20,000 people, then that doesn't sound like the wrong idea to me. Look at the silver lining, at least we're soaking up all the "bad" players so you can play on other servers yeah? Yeah. Just think that.
Certain kinds of players are attracted to certain kinds of servers. It's good for the community that we have servers that cater to different player bases. And truthfully, that's just what FCV's player base is, different. I noticed it myself when I was a part of the PRTA NA admin team. If FCV wasn't popped or was down for one reason or another, we'd notice an influx of unfamiliar players who clearly played with a different style and carried a different attitude about them. I'm really not trying to say there is anything wrong with that, it just makes it abundantly clear that a diverse server choice is a good thing for the future of PR. All that being said, I don't want that to be perceived as an insult against FCV, it's obviously a tremendously successful server and I have had fun playing there.
Look dude, I feel like I'm being reasonable here. Post examples of the spam, if its worse than usual I'll take care of it. Make a report on the forums with just an Mp3 or something of the briefing, if there are people legitimately trolling and trying to disrupt gameplay via spam... we'll look into it.
However if its just the normal briefing banter, then I don't want to deal with it. I'm pretty damn amenable to most things, this is like... literally the first server complaint I've had a stance on. 99% of the time when you all post complaints, we compromise and take care of it. This is one of the only things I think is preferential enough to be a legitimate difference in opinion... not a "wrong/right" thing.
The moment I start "cracking down" on this, is the moment our playerbase finds somewhere else to play. Again... if its excessive, post an mp3 or video and we'll look into it. If not... don't know what to tell you. Play on =HOG=? That's not even an insult, that's why =HOG= exists. Honestly at this point, if you just play on another server that is only going to help relieve stress on our staff. 99% of our administration problems atm stem from the fact that we're populated at like... every second of every day.
Post examples please. Best I can do. Post examples and the staff will weigh in on it.[R-CON]Spook wrote:It is though. It is constant, on every round. I played more often on FCV recently. Trying to organize transport during briefing time is impossible. They simply don't hear you on squad chat. Its always: hoping to spawn close to one of the choppers and hoping the pilot is capable of understanding your trans request and at the same time taking off without delay. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and we arrive when enemies are already 2 flags further than we are. Thats the times I really get mad.
Gameplay-wise the server is ok. During game squads mostly respond to you and often there is a CO around doing UAV stuff. Was worse in the past. I gladly join FCV nowadays for some relaxed rounds.
