Devs, for the next version please consider allowing local (listen server) hosting of PVP and Insurgency game mode Servers.
I host LAN matches at my house (8 computers) and only COOP mode shows the match for the other players to join. If the mode is set to PVP or INSURGENCY then the server doesn't show for them.
We would love to play Insurgency in LAN, we are kinda tired of COOP.
Thanks guys.

Re: Local Hosting
Not currently planned to publish dedicated server files without license. Local works just fine for AAS and Insurgency last I tried it.

Re: Local Hosting
Thanks for your answers guys.
I am not talking about dedicated servers just listen servers (the ones you create from the inside the client).
Allright Rhino maybe I did something wrong or maybe it is my SweetFx messing with PVP, INSURGENCY and Punkbuster or something because whenever I hosted those game modes on my latest LAN it would not show the server for the Guys but if I hosted a COOP match it appeared and was joinable just fine.
Will try again after the next version is released.
Keep up this glorious work
Love you all

Only AAS and Co-Op game modes display on the local LAN browser (carry-over bug from BF2). Other game modes like Insurgency, Skirmish, etc require you to connect via IP.Valmont wrote:Thanks for your answers guys.

OMG thank you Ancient... this "Bug" drove me crazzy for a few minutes in my last LAN.[R-DEV]AncientMan wrote:Only AAS and Co-Op game modes display on the local LAN browser (carry-over bug from BF2). Other game modes like Insurgency, Skirmish, etc require you to connect via IP.
Good to know that I still can connect using IP.
Maybe your programmer could fix this ODD bug thou it should not be a priority of course so if it would be too time consuming just drop it and document the bug on a READ me somewhere (Known Issues?).
Take care Guys
