I've been called so many different things, and I acknowledge and answer to each and every one of them. I love it.

As some have said, I've been rolling with this name for over a decade now. I tried to change it once, but I couldn't handle the ridicule from my buddies.

I totally agree. Can't remember seeing a thread about this, which is wierd since bad nicknames are so annoying, specially now with so many new players from 1.3 .
For every game that requires voip communication I normally use a 2-3 syllables which I think is ideal, 4 or more and it starts getting annoying to speak and you start having to abbreviate.
I have been in situations where I was leading a pub squad and a guy named something like 11II1II1, or another one something like 12378645127 joins. I instantly kicked the guy saying that communication wouldn't work.

That's the spirit! Starting with discriminate every player based on his nick, its the first step in the right direction.

Once we create a list of "proper" nicks we shall brand and segregate every player that does not fit these requirements.

In that case, the guy who came up with the nickname isn't even trying. I mean if I changed my name to something unpronounceable like "aifnjkrgwhgw85435678", you could safely assume that if I can't even come up with a real nickname, I won't be able to properly play PR. This isn't a case of "Kick 'Jose Ramirez', ain't no lah-tee-no's gun be in my squad".

Based on my observations of many players over the years I have come to a simple conclusion.

If you have more numbers or symbols in your name than actual letters the bigger the TOOL you are

Anyway we have too many people who got into the standalone with annoying names or even inappropriate. I recently met a guy named "pussyhunter69". Forcing others to swear when calling your name is really stupid

Usually my username in gaming is Fallon, but here I consider changing it to Pvt. N. Young - as in Natascha de Jong but translated because it sounds better in English - or something of the sort mainly for the RP feel to it, then placing my actual rank in front once I decide which clan to join.

I like the idea of forcing people to use such a username though I do see some problems with it.
For one there'd be loads of people with the same surname and having two Bakers in your squad won't make communicating any easier. And it's hard to force people not to call themselves S. Niperprokiller anyway.
