Alright, so the round you uploaded was, either a a uncommon occurrence, or the teamwork was mainly in your squad. I suspect a little of both, the in the vid I noticed about 16 guys on the E side of the map wandering around without a squad lead, but I saw another squad with its members together, working together with you and other squads, along with your squad working coherently.

Today I played a few rounds with my tournament squad. While there were other squads actually had their members in the general vicinity of the SL , they were either, not doing anything, were 2 kilometers away from pretty much any form of action, or quite inept at taking or holding flags, or not building FOBs. Both rounds I played exhibited this, at one point in Kozlesc the entire militia team was stuck in main because no one had built any fobs except on the 1st flag, wich was overrun duw to lack of reinforcements from, lack of fobs.

Based on these observations combined with other observations, I believe the decline in teamwork is due more to the fact, a fair amount of good squad leads became either inactive or moved to another servers probably because they joined the tournament or heared other servers had more teamwork, or simply got tired of the game. This then in turn frustrated with the decreased teamwork the remaining Sls and prompted them to become inactive r move to another server. When I have a competent squad lead as I did with my tournament squad, the regulars the joined followed orders ad overall were good players. Unfortunately, there is little you or the admins can do besides get on and squad lead and perhaps train people to squad lead. The only solution I see, is one that the people who know how to SL provide, getting on and teaching people how to SL.

On the topic of rule breakers, I haven't seen very many, not including mic spammers. The admins seem to be doing a fine job from what I have seen, however the mic spam after squads are formed and the briefing of the squads have started could be addressed a little more.

The past 100 Project Reality videos on my channel were all recorded on Free Candy Van, at random times, with no special event, and with the random players who happened to be on at the time. Every time has been great, never had any issue with a lack of teamwork.

I really don't know what to tell you. Perhaps people just don't know you as well on our server, and that's why you don't have as good of an experience.

While I admire the passion of both sides, it's nice to see we can have a conversation where most people stay mature and use factual experience. So in that regard keep it up! As for others, comparing one server to the other isn't feedback. FCV is FCV. Not HOG, not PRTA. The whole reason of hosting a server is to do your own thing. If you are more pleased with an experience on another server, then go post in that servers feedback thread how pleased you are, no need to come here and ask them to change to something they are not. The argument 'mumble spam should stop' is good and continue to discuss that as you are, the argument 'this server is worse then HOG cause there the admins deal with mumble spam' isn't.

Please stick to FCV discussion only. Further posts that have nothing to do with FCV will likely end up being removed.

In your video most people seemed to be working together with squads that were together, which is almost the opposite of what I see when I play. Perhaps the time I play has a difference on the amount of competent squads on. Perhaps the time when you play there are good squad leads, and by the time I play, I think a few hours later, they all have left for the day. I cant think of any other reason, unless I have been extremely unlucky.

However unless I missed something in the video, there seemed to be a lack of FOBs, and defense on flags. Which is mirrored in the round I play.

Your "children" do not meet the standards expected of PR admins, and instead of faulting the community why don't you look internally. This "#1 community BlueDrake started" is a component of the larger PR community, and no matter what words you try to use to spin that fact it is something you need to accept. Those guys you are telling to play elsewhere are the reason you have people to interact with while you record your videos, your head needs to deflate a few sizes my friend. Don't forget where you were before the PR community supported you and your server, don't be ungrateful of those "EU players" who "Just don't get what the server is about". Realize that the comments put here are from players looking to HELP YOU AND YOUR SERVER.

Frankly, when I play on FCV I know I'm going to get lots of easy kills and little to no teamwork from my teammates. It's a cesspool of arrogant SLs who refuse to do anything than press onto the next objective like lemmings. The plus side is I can score loads of easy kills, the downside is I have to endure teammates that play PR like CoD. All the while you are sitting here encouraging it, trying to say "PR is played a certain way on my server" is basically admitting you have zero control and little actual influence on your community.

As far as I am concerned FCV is playing a role in dumbing this game community down, and the admins not only encourage it but add to it. The mumble spam is fucking aggravating and it doesn't end until after I am away from main. You have a real issue here with morons being incapable of shutting up for even 30 seconds, it's easy for them to do it because their community leader is just as disrespectful towards the community and actually condones the spam. I really despise not being able to squeeze even a single word in on mumble before the rounds starts, especially if I'm in an asset squad with randoms. How am I expected to want to lead random players and engage with your community when the first thing I'm met with is a few jackasses spamming mumble and arguing over complete bullshit. let me clarify what I mean by squads that are and are not together. Not together means the members of the squad are pretty much doing their own thing. Squads that are together are squads that have a leader and the members are following under that member. I have seen quite a bit of squads that are not together. There are usually only 1 or 2 squads together that I see on most rounds, and even then they are a little lacking in teamwork and will fall to a few experienced people working together.

Played on FCV again tonight because other option was full.

Eight admins were on, then the server crashed. Not a one reconnected even though the server re-popped quickly. Later on we had a single admin present for maybe 20 or 30 minutes. Doesn't really make a difference anyways cause the typical admins take forever to respond to reports (if at all) and are the least proactive admins I've ever encountered.

Couldn't brief my squad pre-round because of mumble spam again. I think one kid had a seizure with the mic inside his larynx.

My team was capped out within 30 minutes while half the team was spread around the map doing god knows what. Multiple free kit squads, zero communication. Commander was a troll spamming INF markers everywhere. No squads playing the objectives.

Round ends. Eardrum rupturing mumble spam begins. I guess the kid from earlier survived his seizure because he's back doing unspeakable things to his mic. I begin to contemplate my existence.

But obviously guys the gameplay of the server isn't what's important here, Game Tracker still has FCV as number one.



All in all, better night on FCV than normal.

Alright let's dive into this. Your post is an excellent example of someone being uselessly defamatory. So please forgive me while I tear deep inside you. Bite the pillow Murphy, here we go.

I've been in the same situation you are in right now before, and I'm going to give you the same attitude I was given then. Now that I've taken the upper hand, I have absolutely no intent to take any advice from anyone other than the people who stuck with me during our struggle to get our community where it is now.

I've always been adamantly against the Project Reality community's elitist and abusive attitude. Maybe you call it "dumbing down," but I call it cleaning house. Free Candy Van is here to provide an enjoyable space for more casual players to play the game in a more relaxed environment. If you don't like that, then good. That's pretty much exactly the point.

Lastly don't try to argue that I owe this community anything. I've been here longer than you, and I've contributed as much (if not at this point vastly more) to helping build it than it has contributed to me. Hold up so, I want to ask the developers. Both myself and many members of my community have been banned from multiple servers for speaking out against its community and its administrators. Those communities were never penalized, and they had the developers support. So am I to assume that I'm allowed to take the same action against users who come here to repeatedly defame our server for subjective rationale?

Lastly, maybe if the developers added in an option to disable local mumble for loading and briefing (allowing players to only brief over squad/officer radio) then maybe I'd think about it. Until then, mumble spam enforcement will be up to the discretion of our administrators.

Perhaps if you'd like to have a more active role in helping to make those administration decisions you can apply as a server administrator on our community hub instead of needlessly complaining on the forums. However, if you're not interested in helping us maintain our server... then don't be surprised when I don't take your rude criticism to heart.

Man, I just came here to say FCV's "apply for admin" link is broken. (EDIT: I was at the wrong part of the website, all fixed now!) Didn't expect to find such a heavy conversation.

Bluedrake, you've worked hard to get to this point. I respect your opinions. And I understand how much fun drama is, or else I wouldn't be posting in a feedback thread. Still, I want to remind you that, while the first time you state an opinion it's valuable feedback for everybody, if you have to reiterate it in responses to individual people, it's probably better to take it to PMs or ignore it completely. Because at that point your audience has been reduced to that one annoying person you don't care about anyway.

Also you're a **** so you should just let other people be dicks in a feedback thread. Ignore it. Yeah it's shitty feedback but come on, it's not like any of us took a class in constructive criticism. It's not easy to stay constructive when emotions are high because everyone loves this game so much and wants the best for it. Besides, you know the work you put in that they didn't, and you know your values. That's all that matters. Let it go.

Anyway I wanted to volunteer for admin cuz I want this game to be better. I know it's a hard, thankless job. But if it means more great experiences, why not try? No game can match Project Reality right now.

Honestly, it'd be so much easier to just sit back and be a regular player and accept whatever happens, complaining occasionally. But I figure I should try to do something. I read that people who don't like leading can make the best leaders because they appreciate how hard it is. I guarantee you I don't like leading, and only do it to challenge myself. You'd be doing me a favor by declining. Besides, I'm not super social (never been in a clan, probably never will be) and tend to have strong opinions, so other admins might hate me. Maybe that's what you want.

Btw, about server quality. I've played on FCV and HOG at most hours of the day, thanks to not having a regular schedule. The quality is pretty random on both, depending on time of day and other factors like admin presence. I think HOG edges out slightly on average, particularly ping times are more stable for some reason, but there's still nonsense happening everywhere, as well as moments of solid gameplay, so the difference isn't that big.

And it doesn't matter as long as I'm having fun. The worst problem on any server is when people are complaining about the server/team/admins. I've had to yell at people to stfu and play when we were getting ambushed by infantry and they were still jabbering about how crappy the other squads were instead of focusing and making callouts. I don't care how bad anyone's doing or if I die horribly. Just play and have fun.
