What do you think of replacing the menu: "squad orders" by "objective"? Instead of the commander to give orders, and always be ignored, because most of the squad leaders do not like to relocate the mark. The idea is, the commander instead of giving orders, it will create missions / objectives, using brands with specific icon.

Looks like a nice idea. Is that just photoshop or did you do all the code work already? :p

In fact it is only one illustrative idea, with the picture explains better an idea than words. But it would be possible to put this in practice for whom this the commander position, create goals for the squad? This is my doubt, I do not know if it's possible.

It sorta is in practice already with the Objective Alpha Bravo Charlie etc commands, but this is so much better imo

The whole team would see it, but it would be possible. Can you send me the icons you made maybe? In 16x16 .tga pls :)

Looks good, main thing I would say is don't have the number 1 like you have, looks more like a line, have it more like this:

Indeed, the illustration uses the same menu number of squads. I agree with you that the number needs to be as readable as possible to not create confusion. Do you like this idea? Commander game in PR, and I know he is not a senior officer of truth as in a real army (it does not have the power of a true general), the CO function in PR is to scout the battlefield with UAV and create goals for execultarem squads. I use the "waypoints" to create these goals, but they are limited by not set the goals, which requires the constant use of Mumble, which sometimes hinders the SL's communication with its SM.

I believe that all of Project Reality commanders are waiting for a possible replacement of the menu "SQUAD ORDERS" for a menu "SQUAD OBJECTIVES" :D

A really great idea as it would break the silent barrier between SL's not knowing automatically what other squad approximate locations/missions are (commander ordered). I really liked the fact that in the days when mumble wasn't integrated, I could listen to communications between CO and SL's to know how to better position my troops, etc.

Implement nao plz!

EDIT: Just to be the one who says this - shouldn't this be in the suggestions forum? As it's a really cool suggestion, hehe!
