What problems do you see in regards to communication? Do you have any suggestions for us to improve it? We're very open to suggestions from the community!

I didn't really "see" much communication. I just think a more strict rule on teamwork would be nice. Or a stricter approach.

I'll give it another shot in a bit, and then get back to see if it's any better than it was earlier.

Not having a microphone is strictly against the rules. The normal punishment is a temp ban.
Any squadleader who isn't communicating or is being a detriment to the team will be removed. But its hard to tell some times, just let us know via the report command and we will investigate it.
I find it easy to get good comms out of squad leads by leading by example. Ill start off by saying, "Squad 3 is heading to south village to cap and set up a FOB, after that will see how the battle goes at bunkers and position. What is everyone else's plan?" I can normally get a response out of the other squad leaders from that.

But please, let us know if you have any trouble with this in the future.

Definitely capable players on this server. Lots of clans which is good imo.

Keep calm and stay based.

As Promised last night, I'll post some feedback...

I was very unimpressed last night.

feedback1 - Album on Imgur

It was very unbalanced a few rounds back to back to back. I joined during burning sands and it became very unbalanced during the 2nd half of the game. Then, Marlin started..... That was pathetic. Piss poor pathetic. Then you had some people grieving to our team, and no consequences.

I respect all of your admin teams, I love the [TZ] admins too... but last night just again... just VERY pathetic.

Marlin, our trans pilot was a complete moron. We told him COUNTLESS times via mumble to NOT fly near the caches. He said "I don't give a **** faggots". Oh, guess what... he flew right into the cache building then immediately left.

There was very little teamwork last night. My squad, (I was NOT squad leader for once) was the only one doing stuff. There was another squad who started doing great things, but it was too little too late. You had at least 3 different clans stacked on the Hamas team. PRWARS, [TZ] and the Japanese guys. If I'm correct, you guys finally scrambled teams after that round. Which I was very glad. I don't know how strict youguys are for teamwork, but my squad leader said the squad leader radio on mumble was like a ghost town.

I hope to join tonight without getting disconnected, hopefully I can fit my way inside the server and see if it is any better. But, all I ask (and my entire squadmates) is to balance it a LOT more.

The things I love about your server,

1. Admins usually respond within 5 seconds.
2. You actually have admins on always.
3. No map votes (THANK GOD)
4. Mix of AAS and INS.
5. Rules are good.
6. Good connection to the server.

What I do not like;
1. It has gotten a lot unbalanced on there.
2. Teamwork needs to be strictly enforced on both sides of the map.

Otherwise, I like the server.

Then you guys played AAS Sbeneh (Which was relativity balanced... but again, squad leader radio was quiet. I cant remember the final score on it, but at the end we (Syrian Rebels) started pushing the MEC back a ton. I was squad leader at the start, which I had fun... but then my squad fizzled out after it seemed like me and another INF squad were the only ones communicating. After my squad had ~2-3 people left I joined the tank squad, which communicated well. The ending was intense lol, we were in a complete ball of smoke trying to find the enemy T72, which RIGHT when the round ended we were face to face lol. That was a much better round.

I think I'll play commander next time, and try to bridge communication between squads. But I got very suspicious on Marlin of a few guys that I thought were ghosting fobs and positions. But that is just me...

(I went too overboard with Reports that game, but everyone in my squad was frustrated as hell)

Again, hopefully I can join tonight with no disconnections or CTD... and see if it is better. Just balance teams more please.

During the round of marlin, we had a lot of discussion between all the admins as to balancing the teams. We thought the next round that we would be fine if we had [RIFM], [bD] and some other squad squad on the other team.

Next thing we know, all these people left and we didn't realise till about 10 minutes in when we started beating the team back at the start on Sbeneh (was on mec).

I think next time, we'll ask if the clans/groups are going to stay on next round.

Thanks for your feedback Matty, we appreciate it.

Regarding last night, the admins present on the French team during the round on Marlin were not performing to the standards we hold for our admin team (in my opinion, at least). The other Senior Admins and I will be discussing ways to improve admin performance.

As for the balance: like FFG said, we attempted to balance the teams by swapping a few clans over at the beginning of the next round. Unfortunately those clans left the server about 10 minutes into Sbeneh. I do agree that we need to be more proactive about team balance and clan stack. Even making clans play on different teams is difficult on NA servers due to most of the clans being pretty good friends with each other. I will address this with the admins later today.

Regarding communication: it is difficult for us to force communication between squads. The best way I have found to spur team communication is to start talking in the SL radio channels and try to get everyone on board. There is definitely a communication problem currently, unfortunately outside of removing SLs with no mics there is not a lot admins can do.

I hope you and others continue to play on BASED and provide us feedback so that we can improve the gameplay.

Thanks,

Reapers

Thanks for the responses.

Sbeneh wasn't as bad as Marlin. In the beginning it seemed to be going good. (I was first infantry squad on the Market flag, and I seriously forgot to get into cap with my squad LOL....) I thought the mosque was in cap haha, didn't realise it until the enemy capped Market).

IF we went to cap the flag, we'd probably would have won the round. But after the first 20 minutes, it seemed more balanced...

I will certainly play on here more. There has been a few times where me and like one other squad were the only ones communicating. I'll try and get all the squad leaders to communicate more, rather than just have a ghost town on squad leader radio. But, I don't even know how well the other squads are communicating within their squads. I'm guessing well, but I'll hopefully hop on tonight as I said.

Edit, would you guys mind posting battlerecorder up?

I like how vigilant this server is about enforcing the microphone required rule. :D You guys are the only North American server that is able to keep no-mics off the server.

Thank you guys for reviving the PR community for this hemisphere of the planet!

Nice to see you admit your own fault here, really nice to see admins handle themselves that way, can't wait to play on the server!
