[R-DEV]Mineral wrote:Really? Imagine if we never introduced ammo counters, stamina bar or overheat bars. And then suddenly we would (which we did). Before the introduction of them it would be the same as deviation right now. You learn it by hard, you develop 'that feeling' (lol). You learn when your sprint is about to run out, if you fuck up you are slowed down. If you don't remember how long the overheat is you are fucked and you can wait a while until you can shoot again. That would also dramatically impact game-play. But those were introduced none the less and were received alright. Overheat also caused a small amount of negative feedback but everyone accepted it and is (I think) mostly positive about it now.
Again, I agree with you completely in regard to how it works on normal rifles and I think your comparing the indicator to mag/overheat/etc is valid in regards to regular weapons. But do you still not see how it impacts deployed kits specifically? I don't think it does that in a good way and I guess I don't have to repeat myself why again.

It is I just do not find this display necessary, and so consider it trivializes a mechanics of game, could merely be a matter covered in the manual and nothing else.

Well i can burst the dream early I guess. Its not going away in next hotfix. We had another discussion and I can't recall a single person wanting it gone. So its not going anywhere. If it will be tweaked or altered, time will tell.

Oh well almost wish you'd said so earlier. I guess I'll keep hope alive for the next patch since I'll assume more devs are actually gonna try playing the game until then.

I was testing yesterday and... Really guys ? That thing is not even precise, it's slow as hell. I was able to shoot much before the indicator

You know what's really dumb?

Introduced deviation bar - 'bridges' the gap between the veterans and new players.
Introduced vehicle turret and momentum - enlarges the gap between veteran players and new players.

Believe it or not, there's plenty of people in the team playing the game.

And contrary to popular belief, the ones that are not playing as much are listening to the ones that do.

Look Nate, I'm not trying to sit here and bash the devs. I am honestly extremely surprised and disappointed that this won't get changed and tried to express that. With the backlash of the community, and judging by the comments in this thread it feels like the people writing have barely played the game post-patch. Denying or minimalizing the impact the deviation-indicator has on ranged kits sounds to me the same as saying that you have barely tried playing the game post-patch.

I appreciate a lot of the work the devs do, but having unquestioned loyalty no matter what is equally silly as bashing for the sake of it.

To me it seems like it's the loud minority that's against the deviation indicator.

Well I got a different impression when chatting around with people, but of course everyone doesn't spam the forum like I did.

I'm feeling nostalgic :) this is reminding me of the other thousand changes which people said would ruin the mod and end it years ago.

Lmao like I said the change will ruin or end the mod. I just said I think it's an extremely bad one and not properly thought through. I'll still continue playing the game but it's just sad to see changes for the obviously worse gameplay-wise, since I really like the game.

If you are so sure lets do a poll ? Devs it really fells like you are completely out of touch with the players especially with the "powergamers".

OMG you dont know what a powergamer is? And you call yourself a dev? You are so out of touch with the whole entirety of the community wich only I myself represent.
Thats it, it is enough I WANT A REFUND.

Edit: And FYI I am the blue powergamer.
