Let's cross our fingers that the devs have planned on releasing a third hotfix patch later this weekend that will finally address the random server crashes, client CTDs and the additional turret acceleration for good or at least for now.

There are still other bugs with allot of the maps, Assault on Grozny on some (All??) INS layouts the caches are bugged (The hill one is invisible, probably underground), or maps that make servers crash. So there should still be a patch coming to fix these issues soon. Lets hope they revert the turret until they have fixed the issues.

General rule for a developer is to not release buggy features and call it fixed/updated.

Did you read my edited posts? My cousin (whom is 16 years of age) was the one posting those. I let him use my account on here, and my normal PR account as he lives with my currently. (His parents are both in jail, too much to say the reasoning why they are.)


He's grounded for a while, and I certainly mean a while. Found out some stuff he was doing on my PC.
I haven't played PR since roughly earlier this year (June?) Myself. As working tons of hours to keep food on the table and a roof over our head.

And no, he is NOT a First Responder trainer by ANY MEANS. Me, I am a EMT for Detroit FD. (Ambulance Driver mainly... but of course I am a CERTIFIED EMT.) Someone Private Messaged me on here about some of his comments. I'm getting back into PR more now, as we hired a few more EMT's. You will not be seeing any posts from him any longer.

I've had a issue with him before on here... he posted about consoles being better, or something like that.

Anyways, sorry moderators for this as its obviously off topic. But I'm explaining of what occured. If you want to know more, just private message me and I'll explain. Go ahead and don't believe me, I obviously understand; but I am speaking the truth of what occured.

Yup. I never play assets and it took me less than a minute to figure out. I had to see what the drama was all about. As with most drama, the answer is "not much."

So DEVs what you gonna do now ? Are you gonna leave it as it is, Or you gonna change turret system back? You can also try to delete acceleration.

I got the chance to try out my gunner skills as a crewman on Fallujah West which unfortunately ended up being a major disaster and probably one of my worst gameplay experiences so far (except for excessive intentional team-killing...) where my cursor would literally fly all over the place, back and forth and not being able to focus on a single target like the turret was ice skating on top of the roof due to the amount of additionally added mouse acceleration/delay penalty.

I'm fully convinced that you need to consider removing (if only temporary...) the currently implemented system (can obviously only speak for myself and from personal experience...) since it actually gave me a genuine headache due to the high amount of turret lag and while I don't want to step on anyone's toes (probably just did...) but having been a fan of your mod for a good seven years, I find it rather odd that you guys (with your high skill set, standards and professionalism...) would possibly promote such a broken system over the fully functional one in previous versions?

One of the tips was to change your sensitivity to 0.5 for vehicles, which makes it work alright.
It's also been said multiple times that something will be done about the current state of the turrets, soon™.

Could ya try to hakuna your tatas and be a little patient?

The Stryker has got to be the biggest joke of them all, as if being unable to properly aim wasn't bad enough the turret also does full 360s when the driver makes a turn. It was extremely uncomfortable to play with.

Talking from an infantrymen perspective: Armor feels just as dangerous as it has always felt. If the new turret mechanics are as difficult as people have been saying in this thread then I must have been playing with some word-class crewmen these past few days since they've had no problem decimating infantry again and again. And that's absolutely fine, armor is meant to be intimidating.

Seems to me like most asset players have adjusted just fine to these latest changes. But those few who didn't and those who would like to see their turrets return to their arcadey state have been vocal enough to generate 34 pages of complaints.

Everything looks easy from a 3rd person view.
You should probably try it yourself on a map like Muttrah for example.

Oh, no. I am sure it's difficult. There's a good reason why most players never set foot in a heavy asset, even before this latest change. I don't have the proficiency or experience with armor to assess the turret changes from an asset player's perspective.

What I can do though is provide a perspective that I feel is severely lacking in this thread: That of an infantry player. And as such I can safely say that armor hasn't nearly been neutered as much as some people keep repeating around here.

here is what i notice about this thread. its 34 pages long and about 20 of those pages are the same 10 people repeating themselves like broken records. i have tried gunning sense the patch came out, and i like the change. the slipping is a little rough but not enough to cause this much QQ. i think the Devs need to weather the QQ storm and not make any big decisions on it for a month or so. in a month most of these people will have calmed down and the community will have adjusted to the new style of play. don't make decisions based of the QQ of 10 people spamming a thread. like someone mentioned earlier people who don't have a problem with it don't post about it.

I'm not saying that everyone in the thread is QQing, there are several rational comments from people who stopped by to give there thoughts on the subject. but i feel like people that have 10+ posts in here screaming the same thing are probably more interested in camping this thread then they are with playing PR and learning the new system.
