Error 1322

Hi

I play PR for a long time now. I had this issue when a changed computer a couple of months ago but it fixed itself somehow... this said now it is happening again. Each time i try to start the game i get this error message:

1322: Error verifying profile settings. Please confirm the profile files are not Read-Only and try again. If the problem continues, try resetting all profiles to default in the Options menu.

I checked and my files are not read-only. I tried resetting my profile to default, i deleted the PR file in my documents , i ran the game has administrator, i reinstalled 3 times but without any success. The error message always appear.

I was able to play normally just yesterday and now i can't do nothing...

Help !

Im having the same problem. Tried everything. Deleted files, removed read-only, reinstalled, etc etc.

Ok, so i run Pr through steam, and since i have McAfee, i tried running it outside of steam, and it worked fine, so for anyone else who is having the 1322 error and you just got a new AV/Firewall, and you run Pr through steam..try not running it through steam. You might have to try and start it a couple of times, i did at first(realizing me firewall was checking it out) but in the end it should work.

Could this be of interest?

I have McAfee and i run PR outside of steam and i get 1322. I also checked firewall and it pr was allowed to use it, so its not that. I hope support team will repair it soon.

Okay, I've looked around and found some stuff that might help, although it's for Windows 8. I'm on Windows 7, and have no idea if Windows 8 and 10 are similar in terms of compatibility and permissions, so don't shoot me if this is all useless information.

I think we can confirm AV as a source, but maybe not the only source, of error 1322: The scourge of many PR players. Having installed with McAfee Realtime Scanning disabled it ran the game perfectly. However I also ran the game with AV off, so that might have made the difference too. Can't confirm that till later.

I found a solution that most of the time so far works. When I right click on the PRBF2 icon the list pops up and I clicked on 'Troubleshoot compatibility" then you can test the program if it wont work click on "-> No, try again using different settings" and in the boxes try "The program requires additional permissions" or "The program opens but doesn't display correctly" then click the flashing admin permission at bottom and usually works but I have to do this mostly every time to play the game.

Make sure all your folders and files in "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\ProjectReality\Profiles" are not set to read-only. You might have to do this manually for every sub-folder.

Disabling McAfee did the job !! Pr now works perfectly without any issues !! Thanks man you just saved my preferred game !!

Awesome!

If I were you (which I'm not and it's completely up to you) I would uninstall McAfee and go for Microsoft Security Essentials. It doesn't fuck with any of your applications, no popups, no bullshit in general.
